   This has been my mother’s regular hairdresser for years. She recently returned after some time away and visited Emma for a half head of colour. She explained she wanted the same shade as last time and even reminded her of the specific tone, since it had been a few years. As Emma started the process, it quickly became clear the colour was turning out too white/blonde—completely different from what my mother had asked for. She expressed her concern during the appointment and said she wasn’t happy with the direction it was going. Emma’s response was, “I can’t do anything about it,” which was really disappointing. If she knew from the beginning that she couldn’t achieve the requested colour, she should have been upfront and either adjusted the plan or stopped the process. Instead, she continued with the half head, fully aware my mother wasn’t happy. We were charged £120—not that it’s about the money, but if the result isn’t what the client wanted and they leave unhappy, then what’s the point? I’ve always recommended Emma to friends and family in the past, but if I’m being honest, after this experience I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending her anymore.
