I visited the B&Q Shirley store to buy shelves and rails for a wardrobe project I was working on. I needed quite a few shelves cut and was hoping to keep the cost affordable. Payman, a member of staff, was absolutely amazing. He took the time to go through all the available options with me, arranged for the shelves to be cut perfectly, helped with the rails, and even made sure I had the correct screws I needed. His knowledge, patience, and willingness to help made the whole experience stress-free. DIY stores can feel quite intimidating, especially for women doing a project on their own, but Payman made me feel completely comfortable and confident. I would highly recommend asking for him if you need help in this store. Thank you, Payman!

Wanted to view a internal door before buying so checked stock. Showing 2 in stock so drove 8 miles to go have a look. Search the aisle and can't find the door. Asked at the counter and a young man met me in the aisle and could not find the door either. Then told me they had same issue last week and manager had not set stock right. Staff trying hard but no point having stock showing on line if not correct. Not the first time it's been wrong. Now got to hope that another branch 12 miles away has better stock control.

Staff are friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable, and always advise on the best product to use when asking questions about what's best when you're decorating your home, or doing some DIY work. There's a great range of products to choose from to help with redecorating your house and for everyday DIY, such as tool kits, various wallpaper designs, painting equipment, plants and plant pots, furniture sets (both indoors and outdoors), gardening tools, plant seeds, and so much more to choose from. B&Q is an excellent place to get everything you need to help redecorate your home, or just to get essential tools and equipment for everyday use. I recommend going to B&Q!

Absolutely annoyed. Rang in before I came to ask if the timber cutting machine is working. Arrived in half an hour & was informed by one staff member the machine broke down an hour ago. Went to complain at customer services and was told the machine hasn't been working for a few days. So everyone has their own little lie to tell and staff can only apologise for giving me the wrong info and dont know who answered the phone when I rang. Why have you got random people answering your phones? Just a joke!

Have never had any issues really. I think the place does what it says on the tin. I'm not looking for silver service, I'm looking for what I need - whether that be timber, paint or masking tape! And it's all easy to find and well laid out. I think the new self-service tills are much needed. I notice someone has commented about not being able to scan larger items, but there is a pull out barcode scanner making it easy to scan larger items, so perhaps they ought to try that next time... And if you struggle, ask for help! They're not going to say no.

Carefully what are you buying as they sell used dirty products nice wrapped and inside the box or wrap you will find products that can not be used and they will not replace it or give you the money back.I have brought from them 4 radiators and one of them was dirty, with marks, spider web and paint and they said is not from them.It is not about the money I have lost because of you but I will make sure I will post everywhere and let everyone know about what products are you selling. Shame on you!!!I will never buy from you again.

Whats there to say about b&q. Everyone knows you can get everything under one roof. They are a bit overpriced but they quality of items are brilliant. Sometimes they'll have something in stock that no one else has. I needed some windsor grey and white tiles but no other store had them except b&q. There returned policy is 45 days which is good. There's also a 3 hours stay. Although it may seems long, you go to a store or two nearby and by the time you know 3 hours have gone. Overall, its a good store. Can't complain.
