Absolutely 5* every time. We go regularly even tho we have a more local Starbucks, the staff and the welcome we get are what makes us drive out of our way to to go here. The drinks are perfect every time and the atmosphere is great, always clean, always friendly.
Coffee depends on who’s serving it. Today for example (Wednesday 26/11/25) the girl serving me was actually quite rude, didn’t ask if I had a Starbucks card, no hi, no bye, then proceeded to have her own drink and turned away. The coffee today and yesterday was pretty dire, it was very milky and not much taste of coffee at all. Now understandably I drink a latte and I know it mainly milk but I could barely taste any coffee in the drink at all. I’m not sure what is being done differently because normally I get a decent coffee here at Birchwood service station. I visit daily as i work in the offices not far from this branch. Please have a word or arrange some re-training for your staff as very disappointed to say the least.
Starbucks was also great - quick, friendly service and a nice clean cafe. Great fast-charge experience whilst enjoying our coffee. We went from 51% to 85% in just under half an hour. It was a really fast charge (150 kWh) with plenty of free chargers. We used contactless to pay and had a Starbucks whilst waiting. There are plenty of car washing stations and also a Greggs and service station with shop on-site. A great fast-charge experience.
Nice and friendly service. Convenient to have a quick meal and petrol.
The last few occasions I’ve used the drive thru here have been disappointing to say the least. Extremely slow even when I’m the only person in the queue, staff have no level of good customer service and are always too busy having unprofessional conversations with themselves and whilst serving talking through the headsets. I never expect first class from Starbucks but with their prices at a premium basic manners and customer service wouldn’t go amiss.
Not the best, service was poor and very slow here so don't go if you're in a hurry; there were customers sat waiting even in the drive through! Cleanliness was also an issue, the serving are area was far from clean, counter tops, top of the coffee machine covered in dust and crumbs which had clearly been there for days. Staff were leaning over the waiting area to poor dregs into the sink leaving spillage in the area where you collected your drinks. The service was so slow with no offer to bring your drinks over and not even a hint of a smile! Added to that my order was wrong. The facilities were not that clean either, the hand driver waste working in the ladies and no toilet tissue, despite supposedlying being checked! Not the usual standard you would expect from Starbucks sadly.
Visited this store on a long drive. Stopped for a rest and use their services. First thing the toilets were very unclean! Understand it’s on a transport route but it didn’t look like the toilets had been cleaned on days! Next issue was the service. Looked like they had a new staff member which is completely fine. The issue was their interaction. Looked like they didn’t want to be their. Stared and grunted when I got to the front. I understand they are probably nervous but a level of customer service is needed. Coffee was alright.
Our first visit. The service was brilliant and the staff was so helpful, friendly and very polite. Our visit was at end of the day, still there was a good choice of food, most tables were clean and we were not rushed. We all enjoyed our drinks and food. One of the best Starbucks we have visited. Definitely will be visiting again.
Most visits to Starbucks end in disappointment but this wasn’t bad to be fair. The server was happy and smiling. She got the drinks mixed up but it really wasn’t an issue. The only negative thing is the insane cost. For £10 more you could have a full dinner for two people at a restaurant.
