A very nice, cozy coffee shop with a delicious, authentic breakfast, far removed from the touristy hotel stuff – we were absolutely thrilled!
Had a lovely afternoon tea, was absolutely delicious, so much food had to take cakes home!
We really enjoyed our tasty festive turkey and vegetarian brie, tomato chill chutney and tomato toasties this afternoon. The gingerbread lattes were delicious too. Great atmosphere, friendly and relaxed. Babies are welcomed, our little grandson loved sitting in the high chair watching everyone. Highly recommended.
New to the Area, First time here. Can honestly say, the nicest Cooked Breakfast I've had in a while. Quality food, Cooked to perfection & served with a smile
First time at Lucy's as I am not from the area. The service was very friendly. Great advacado with poached eggs on toast and a good cappuccino for £11. The sauce that came with the food had a little hint of chilli in it. Very nice. While the sun was out, I sat outside in the sun (4 tables and chairs in the sun and 2 tables and chairs in the shade). I nice cafe that I would visit again if I happen to cycling past.

Lovely place with polite and friendly staff. Food came piping hot, there just wasn't much of it. Felt like the price of the full breakfast was a little overpriced for the quantity of food on the plate. Still, the quality of the food was good. Not enough to stop me coming again. 4 stars.
Not great, we visited in October 2021, and the food was good. Typical café food, there was a great atmosphere and it was quite a unique café, shabby chic. I think it's now got a new owner and they've taken it in a very different direction. it's now very clinical, there's no atmosphere and Im pretty sure money is being saved by cutting Black Pudding so it's half the thickness it typically is... weird thing to point out, I know, but I notice these things like a saddo.
Such a lovely, unique place! Coffee was served in a lovely big mug, food was delicious and freshly made, and the surroundings were fabulous- paintings, ornaments, crafts and trinkets all over the place. A really lovely little cafe, we will definitely make it a regular thing going to R'teapot.
First visit to this wonderful independent coffee shop which was not just a coffee shop: it was much, much more. Set in a cosy little setting, with friendly staff and a brilliant owner, this is a lovely place to visit and enjoy a cup of coffee - or tea - whilst surrounded by art work by local enthusiasts. I had a thoroughly good time and would recommend a visit if you are in the area.
