Never been to a wood yard in my life, no idea what I was doing. I met two members of staff who couldn't have been more helpful. The man who served me advised me on exactly what I should buy and cut a length of timber to exactly the sizes I needed. He even found a half-length so I didn't have to buy loads more than I needed. If you need wood, come here!
Needed some ply board for a shed project. I turned up with the measurements I needed and the gentleman there showed me some alternatives. He then cut it perfectly to size and helped again by cutting a couple of square timber pieces, I also needed. Had a little trouble getting it into the car and the same man helped me position it so it would be safely positioned and braced for driving. The wood was excellent and well priced plus the help, cutting and customer service were more than excellent. This will be a place I will go when I next need any wood supplies.
I found Low Cost Timber after a Google search. I’ve used other suppliers previously and Low Cost Timber was significantly cheaper. I was a bit worried in case this meant the timber wasn’t as good a quality, but thought I’d give it a go. Only one thing to say - I’m really pleased I did..!! Timber quality is excellent and better than I’ve bought before. The service is fantastic too. The guy that served me was friendly, helpful, and a true gentleman. He cut the wood to the length I wanted and helped carry it to my car (I’d parked across the road). Fantastic service and quality timber. No hesitation in recommending and this will define be my go to place for all future timber needs.
