What a wonderful place. Very unassuming from the road, but once inside it was as different as chalk and cheese. 4 adults and 1 picky child who ate only a little lunch (which explains the law price per person) but gave the ice cream selection a good go. 1 adult was celiac and lactose intolerant. No problem. The menu, not only had a delicious choice of breakfast for the other three adults, but it included a seperate menu for the 1 adult requiring the special diet. The food was cooked well and the young lady serving us was open to variations on the dishes. It's unusual for us all to eat out together, as the celiac doesn't normally have a choice. He usually has to have one of the small choices available on the menu. WELL DONE !! to all staff. Will DEFINITELY return many more times.

The head waitress wasn't welcoming. Another waitress took our order There was a very long strand of hair in my taco. Asked the waitress to remove the dish. Was off putting. Head waitress said she can give me a discount. I said im not paying for the meal. Won't ever go there again

Excellent little cafe. Lovely soup with a fresh buttered barm. Yummy. Egg mayonnaise sandwich - fantastic. Only minor negative were the chips. Cooked to perfection, but alas, the oil was burnt, giving them a greasy taste. Will definitely recommend.

Fantastic cafe with in my opinion the best breakfast st helens has to offer. Really great place with a good menu and changing specials so something for everyone. Amazing staff, great value, pleasant surroundings. A definite favourite of many around town, loads of parking and even have events including classic cars depending on the season. We'll worth trying it out you won't regret it

I ordered 2 fish and chips and a tea and a coffee when I visited today. I was presented with the bill before the food arrived which came to Β£18 something. I handed the lady 2 Β£10 notes one of which was Scottish, which is legal tender in the UK. The lady said she couldn't except that as the owner doesn't like them. After I questioned her she then contradicted herself and said if she did take it, it would end up in her wages. In disbelief I politely said, you can leave the food and drink and we left. I found this whole experience baffling. She or the owner obviously have issues with the Scottish people and their perfectly legal Pound Sterling tender. I will never eat there again and I will advise everyone I know to do the same.

My husband & myself were regulars before covid, never disappointed. We returned a few times after but always disappointed with the service & long wait for food so stopped going. Returned today at 2pm to give it another chance. No improvement at all, staff indifferent, waited 35 minutes for food, chips were warm at best, breakfast although tasty also not hot enough. Wonβt be back.

I ordered an omlette and salad , i have wanted to try this cafe for ages as its right near work . Any three fillings Β£5.95... not bad....I ordered cheese mushroom and ham . Absolutely awful. No mushrooms but the extra egg shell may of counted as a filling . That or the ridiculous amount of salt added to it . To top it off it was burnt on one side . I won't be back .
