   Excellent food but zero atmosphere, we booked for dinner on a Sunday evening, had the festive menu ,the food was excellent!! But we were sat in an uncomfortable booth in a bleak dining room,considering it is Christmas it was dark and uninviting,we have visited here many times before and always left with a positive impression but not this time ,the staff who are efficient didn't seem very happy either ,something just felt very off, as we were leaving even the pub wasn't busy ,the fire wasn't lit etc.

   What a fantastic place to eat! Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. Good was delicious, good portions and reasonably priced. Truly dog friendly, with a cosy atmosphere and warming log fire. Highly recommend!

   Lovely country pub set in the Historic Village of Comberbach. We stayed overnight in our motorhome on a pub stop, and had a great night. The menu was relatively small which made choosing much easier. He had Fish and Chips I had a Chicken Salad with a side of Sweet Potato Fries - great portion sizes, and delicious! Staff and locals were friendly, and Bonnie was made very welcome.

   Came here with wife after a good walk at the local country park. Reviews looked good so why not try. We were not disappointed. The steak meal I had was done perfectly and the chips were piping hot. Wife had katsu curry and tofu and cleaned the plate. Recommend you come and try.

   A quick stop off in Cumberbach to meet up with family and enjoy a Sunday lunch.. Pleased and surprised to see that they had a regular menu along side the the Sunday lunch menu. We opted for the Sunday lunch and have to say, we were very pleased with it. The portions were spot on, not over facing and the veg was perfectly cooked. Service and staff was spot on. Friendly and helpful.. The pub has a good sized car park so we were able to eisily park our motorhome. Huge outdoor area with loads of space for kids..

   Today my husband & I visited after meaning to do so many times over the years but never actually getting there. This is where we had our 1st date 12 years ago. I must say we weren't disappointed, we both opted for the roast rib of beef roast dinner. It was fantastic service & the food was the best I hadn't tasted in along time. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Massive 5 *

   Four of us came for an evening meal. This is the sister pub of The Bells at Peaover ( which is also excellent) and we very pleased with the level of service and quality of food. The menu choice was good. We opted for a seafood sharing platter. There were 2 others available, from memory one was meat based whilst the other was vegetable. It was excellent. Sharing for 4 was prehaps a little optimistic but it worked. Just make sure you cut the food down the middle! The mains were well presented and tasted great. They came out hot which is good as nobody really likes cold food. The 2 staff who were working that night were excellent and attentive. They made the meal a nice experience. Would definitely come again.
