A place that could do with renovating really, shame that people have forgotten about places like this, so it's hard for the people that run establishments to spend money on refurbs, it could be quite a venue with a fair wack of money
Having just moved to this area, I am looking for a "local". I called in and was greeted as if I was a regular. The beers are ridiculously cheap, £2-60 a pint of Theakstons mild and 20p cheaper if I became a member for £1. No brainer. Allegedly this working mens club is the oldest in the UK. It is a blast from the past and just a great place as a local.
It's a friendly place to go. Nice pint too.
Lovely family place, took me and my lad and everyone was friendly and the barmaid was brilliant! 5 star doesn't do it enough Justice!
