"Disappointing experience with Robert Dyas Richmond. I ordered a product online, which showed as available in-store. When I arrived, staff checked and said it would take a couple of days. However, when I asked to take the item from the shelf, one staff member said yes and walk away serving another customer while another later told me it had a different code and I needed to pay. After paying again, I called customer service, and they confirmed it was the same item. I was charged twice for the same product due to staff confusion. Hopefully, staff training can improve to avoid similar issues in the future."

Wishing to support the local high street rather than Amazon, I ordered an item from the Website for collection in 5 days. 10 days, and 4 visits later, the staff nonchalantly claim the item is ‘seasonal’ stock hence the reason for its non-arrival. Why feature it on your Website , claim you can supply it and then not give a monkeys when you can’t if it’s ‘seasonal’ ? I would think twice before ordering anything from here. They just don’t care. I note from the replies to other one and two star reviews that a standard ‘we’re sorry ‘ reply is issued by head office which isn’t considered or specific to the case in question again suggesting they just don’t care after taking your money, of course.

Today I bought an ironing board and Iron….i was very impressed with the service I received from Nara who helped me with my purchases….very efficient and very helpful with a really friendly smile. She also helped me find my My Dyas account and also gave me a spare card as I had mislaid mine…I would recommend definitely popping into Dyas in Richmond for quality products at reasonable prices and excellent customer service.. Thanks again Nara!

I had a pleasant experience as usual shopping at the Richmond branch. The staff are always very helpful and courteous in dealing with me or my partner whenever we have the opportunity to shop there. This must be a great credit to the store management. Keep up the good work. Kind regards John Harden

Robert Dyas in Richmond is an excellent store with a great selection of useful products, but what really makes it stand out is the top-notch customer service. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the service is second to none. A special shoutout to Zoe, as she always has a positive attitude whenever I approach her for suggestions and advice. Will always come back!

Staff are brilliant. It makes a difference to shopping. Small compact store. Usual brands, good prices. Particularly handy for spring gardening accessories, fertilizers and some decor.

This is a gem of a store and possibly the largest Robert Dyas I have come across. It is such a great help that it is open during the lockdown, serving many essential things that I had to get! When you are in lockdown for many months a lot of things become essential because you have to do everything on your own. Therefore, vacuum cleaning bags, caustic soda, Dylon colour runner etc etc becomes profoundly important. The guidance to choosing light bulbs is way more helpful than Argos or Homebase. The only reason I have given 4 stars is because, the staff were not quite do knowledgeable about products. The blonde middle-aged lady had recommended I buy Catapult (which time-tested useless product and harmful to plants). I asked her about Lion poo and she did not have a clue. I just had to rely on my friend's word of mouth. But, overall this is a store we can't do without!

Maybe I was just unlucky but my experience of this store was terrible. The customer service was an absolute joke. The sales assistant I spoke to in the store was rude and unhelpful. When I asked him if the light bulb I was thinking of buying was suitable for my lamp (which I had a picture of) he just sort of grunted with out even bothering to look at the picture. I’ve shopped at other branches and found the staff generally helpful and knowledgeable about the products but this branch I have to give a big thumbs down to I’m afraid.
