Rip off, absolutely disgusting, can’t really speak English I asked for a breakfast with no beans they couldn’t do it as it was a set menu then I asked for French toast with two eggs. They wanted to charge me Β£19 for two slices of toast so we ended up with breakfast, the tables were dirty. The knife and forks were dirty. They were more interested in getting your money out of you. They’re rushing you for the next person Β£10 for a breakfast not including a drink scandalous

Great cafe. Lovely cake and tasty coffee. My wife accidentally left her shopping bag there {one of the outside tables}. Returning an hour later, we were delighted to find that a member of staff had kept it safely. We shall certainly return.

I used to go to their branch at the Mall in Blackburn. The Chester branch is not recommended. They presented my meal without warming it up. Salad was added at extra cost, but it was bad. So small quantity ( 5 cubes of cucumber, 5 cubes of tomatoes, two strips of lettuce and potato chips on top.) The plate was so flat that my salad was scattering around.

I regret stopping and choosing this place. Asked for a mocha and they ran out which was fine. The guy said you can pick a smoothie if you want. We did and we got charged. Right I wouldn't have if we knew we'd be charged. My food came and the picture will show you how bad it is. Undercooked!!

First time there yesterday. Ordered tea and toasted cheese and red onion. 30 mins wait then food was delivered. No teaspoon fo tea. No knife to cut the toast which looked like had just been thrown onto the plate. The cheese was horrible, tasted like it was processed and rubbery. Cost Β£8.75. The staff were not at all pleasant. An experience never to be repeated.

A great experience had by myself this morning. After a brisk frosty winters walk across the wall I decided to find respite in the Shopping mall and grab a coffee and cake at Muffin Break. I was the first customer in the business and the level of service was second to none! Food was delicious! Great place. Especially at the price point.

Firstly the food is great, a good range including veggie choices and it's all made there, even the breads. The service was well meaning and friendly but chaotic and slow. It's not helped by the layout not allowing for a flow of customers so people were walking off the back of the queue as fast as they were served at the front. I'm not sure what the answer is but maybe make it all table service or just a bit better organised. I must finish by reminding you the food was lovely, maybe best tried when quiet.

Spontaneous day out in Chester just wanted a light bite. Don’t give this low rating lightly. Person in charge needs to start paying attention to detail. E.g presentation of cutlery. Only saving grace was that the coffee was very good, even if took a while to be made.

The muffins were very good and so was my Americano. But if you were expecting a friendly smile or chats this is not the place.
