   Bought an air con unit for an old people's home. They were complaining it was making a racket. I returned it 2 weeks later and was refused a refund. They sent it off for repair and came back as non faulty over 2 MONTHS LATER! Summers over, I've had to buy another unit to replace it and STILL they refuse a refund or credit. Staff were very abrupt and rude. Spoke to customer services and they were the same. Absolutely shocked at incredibly poor customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

   UPDATE:- Walked into this branch today to purchase a side drawer for a tool box. The staff were sat around doing nothing. Didn't get any help instead when I approached a staff member asking for dimensions he tried getting rid of the conversation by giving me an estimate of size with his hands. No attempt to make a sale or even help out. Appalling absolute joke... Machine mart you've doubled up on staff in this store which has made it worse maybe cut down on staff and offer your employees an initiative to sell. Shambles I have always used machine mart for many years ... i ordered a welder spare online and was sent out an incorrect part . The online sales team apologized and said they would send another ... two weeks later nothing ive just had to order it again lets hope they dont get it wrong again ... hopeless Good parking good selection

   Don't buy there Diesel Heater Unit you have read this review. Staff knowledgeable when reading from the catalogue but don't really know anything. Product is twice as expensive as ebay. Brought two diesel heaters that should last 13.5 hours according to staff in the shop and the catalogue but only last 4.5hours. Was sent for testing so was with out one of them for 10 days. They sent it back and said it does do 13.5 even tough i have run it on multiple occasions after its return and it averages and 4.5- 5 hours. It is bieng used in a Youth Centre by a local charity. Was told the cooling off period is 7 days but at the discretion of the store manager. Better buying off ebay and paying with PayPal that way you get them for half the price and have 30 day cooling off period and 1 Yr proper warranty. Staff speak very abruptly, bordering on rude very unhelpful. Would never use them for anything again.

   This shop doesn't deserve even a single star! Poor service, rude staff and ignorant towards non mask wearers, I had my exception badge on as I have had since the covid outbreak began, I understood the shops policy, but treating someone differently when they have a perfectly legitimate reason for not wearing a mask is disgraceful. I was at the time also employed by the NHS so being treated this way showed great disrespect and zero customer communication skills. I am a major DIY'er and had intended to spend up to £500 on a table saw, sliding mitre saw and few other pieces however I took my business to toolstation instead because they were more welcoming, also this occurred long after the worst of the virus was over. Over zealous and over the top safety protocols has caused me to never consider this shop again for anything tool related, take your custom elsewhere folks this isn't a customer friendly establishment. Hilariously on that same day, a lady with a child in a pushchair with a mask on was also browsing! I suspect she spent less than ten pounds on a screwdriver! These are the kind of employees that can destroy a great business, I'm surprised you're still trading.
