I have been having my hair cut and coloured at Headroom for over 6 years now. I always walk out happy with my hair and the service. Gen is fantastic! The atmosphere is fun, light, friendly and comfortable.
Appalling. The hairdresser was visibly nervous, very rough - I could hear my hair tearing - and the style came out a choppy, lopsided mess which was several inches longer on one side and not even close to the style I asked for. Had to get it re-cut but they refused to give me a refund.
Not very good at colouring hair or communicating. After politely expressing my dissatisfaction, no attempt has been made to correct their mistake free of charge. I have been told that I can have a toner put through my hair at a cost of £20 but I wont get the result I want. I now have brassy looking hair, an experienced hairdresser should have known that they could not reach my desired colour using a lightener (instead of bleach). I would not recommend going here for a colour.
Brilliant hairdressers - I was new to the area and decided on this one due to the great reviews. I can honestly say it's the first time a hairdressers has cut the exact style that I wanted - she was able to tidy up my layers whilst keeping the length AND chop it in so I can still fit my extensions in seamlessly. Thank you so much, I'll deffo be back, fantastic value for money.
It's a shame that there is only one other very bad review on here (at least at the time I adding mine). On first appearance I wouldn't ever book here. Or looks run down and not very inviting. I booked an appointment based on seeing someone with a fantastic haircut and this is where she had it done. I booked an appointment and figured it was worth a try. I was not disappointed. The woman who cut my hair (Gen) was fantastic. Friendly, focused and did a cut and colour I am so happy with. I have been to several of the other more costly salons in Chesterfield. This one was almost half the cost and the cut way better. Will go back for sure!
