No staff member upstairs for ages, then when we did go down and ask someone to check for a shoe size, the girl sort of shrugged us off and said to ask someone upstairs.

Terrible experience shopping here felt so deflated after leaving without any of the items I was hoping to get. A young girl was asked to go upstairs and get the tag for slippers I had got to which she huffed and rolled her eyes. Then 3 of the 5 items I had didn't have tags on either and when she was asked to go back upstairs I thought she was going to end it all there and then I decided to leave the store without my items and won't be returning anytime soon.

I recently bought a pair of shoes from Sports Direct and was charged twice for the same purchase. When I informed the staff at the counter, they told me it sometimes happens and that the extra payment would automatically be refunded within 24 hours. Itβs now been 5 days, and I still havenβt received the refund. Iβve tried calling the store several times, but no one answers the phone. I currently live far away, so I canβt easily go back in person. This has been a very frustrating experience, and I hope Sports Direct resolves this issue soon.

We visited the store around 3:55 PM to buy a pair of shoes. We asked the staff for the size we wanted about five or six times, but they kept saying someone would be with us in a few minutes. Instead, they just stood by the door and at the till, gossiping with each other. They were also a bit rude. After making us wait for about 10 minutes, they finally came over only to say that they didnβt have the size we asked for. They wasted our time just to tell us they didnβt have what we wanted.

There's tills upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs they're busy and the queue is very long but upstairs plenty of till space. The lady is too busy playing with tennis balls upstairs she couldn't serve me upstairs. Little things like these are annoying. No wonder people shop elsewhere for a speedy and kind service. Customer service skills are poor. Too busy doing irrelevant things for non existent customers

No one around the trainer section, no staff about to assist. Had to go looking for staff. When staff member came to help she checked to see if trainer was in stock then came back to say yes in stock but itβs available under a different barcode? Which would have costed me an extra Β£5. Opted for a different trainer, lady went to check whether in stock, came back and took the display off the shelf. Only when I questioned was I then made aware I was getting an ex display trainer. No thank you.

Customer service, whats that? Trying to buy some new trainers, no staff to been seen. Waiting 15mins to ask a very unpleasant member of staff for my size, she checked her 'machine' said they had them, walked in and out of the back room and said "dont have em". Didn't even bother looking.

The building is a large nice and clean safe area. The price ranges are mostly affordable. Staff could have a think off seeming as most don't care or are quite rude. Sometimes even ignoring customers. But me as myself I have found very helpful staff and they have helped me and gave me useful information. The selection of new clothing is brilliant and every now and then it gets changed. The tills are brilliant to pay at and the selection of shoes is quite good. Not sure about parking because usually it's not so busy but if you get a busy day it's quite hard to find a spot seeming as though other business also use the carpark for their customers.

I feel so sorry for the staff working in an atmosphere of oppression that can be felt by a customer inside this shop. I can't possibly go there again during this pandemic. Queue up outside, get permission to enter, get permission to request a shoe, get permission to use a trying on bench, queue for the till.....Not nice whatsoever. I felt rushed and coerced in to accepting footwear I wasn't happy with. Update: Now that COVID is all but over, I needed a pair of safety shoes. I chanced upon this store once again. What a difference in staff morale now. A more relaxed and happy crew exists. I found what I needed and can say I actually enjoyed the experience. Till staff bright and chatty and quick at serving. Hope it stays this way. Two more stars awarded.

Turned away laughing. Do NOT believe the 'updated by the business' thing 6 days ago about the store opening at 10am. Travelled here like many others only to be turned away at the door by a guy pretty much laughing at everyone as he just says no from the terminal behind. The sign on the doors has been penned over to say 11am. With the amount of people coming (at least 20 now) I think the chap is lucky to be inside as he's made quite a few people unhappy with his attitude to it all- Myself included being stood there with an 11 month old just to be mocked. Totally unprofessional.
