   TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I never give bad feedback to local companies but I honestly had the WORST experience with Carrington Appliances from start to finish. A two week wait for an appointment and then a no-show after I waited in all day with my 1 year old. No apology at this point. Re-booked the appointment and when the engineer turned up, I can only assume that they took one look at me and assumed I was an easy target. Not only did they want to sting me for £65 just for the pleasure of looking at my dishwasher (with no intention of being able to fix it at that point) but then tried to sting me for parts that I found for a third/ half of the price they quoted. When I asked to speak to the manager (Chris), I was faced with the worst customer service I think I’ve ever experienced. He was rude, abrupt, wouldn’t listen to my grievances and shouted at me down the phone. His engineer then told me that I should have threatened to call the police and to kick him out to resolve the situation - the whole interaction was BIZARRE to say the least. DO NOT USE THESE ABSOLUTE COWBOYS.

   Oven failed Thursday night, called Carrington Appliances on Friday, engineer came round and replaced the main heating element on Saturday afternoon. All now working o.k. Fantastic service and so much cheaper than calling in a manufacturer's engineer. Highly recommend.

   Disappointing experience of a vacuum cleaner repair. Was advised that this was sub contracted and that the contractor only collected appliances on a Tuesday. I clearly explained what the problem was (dust marks being left on the carpet by my 2 year old appliance) and, after 5 weeks, 2 repairs and a not insignificant cost, the problem still wasn't rectified. Only as I collected it for the final time was I advised that if I removed the wiper blades that things might improve. I duly did and it was an instant fix. Great but did I really need to pay £60 for the pleasure of knowing something I could have done at home? I liked the owner of Carringtons and found him communicative, honest, and transparent but disappointed by the sub contractor, whom I never met. I know he was waiting around for parts but did it really need to take nearly 6 weeks?

   Very pleased with the service. Called on Thursday and my oven was repaired on Friday. A lot cheaper than the quotes I had got online. This is the second time I have used them and would definitely use them again and also recommend them to family and friends. Added bonus is the owners brilliant sense of humour.
