I needed a replacement lightbulb for a sun rise lamp and was sold a non-dimmable bulb, even though I made it clear to the assistant what the bulb was for. It wasn't until I got home and googled the symbol on the box that I found it unsuitable for the lamp and it is actually unsafe to use.

I don’t know why I don’t shop at Robert Dyas more often. This morning was greeted upon walking in (what stores still do that?) and immediately pointed in the direction of what I was looking for. Service with a smile all the way. Keep it up guys, you’re awesome!

Absolutely disgraceful and traumatic experience. The behavior of the staff is appalling and unprofessional, making this the worst shopping experience I’ve had in years. I purchased and paid for a Tefal wok, assisted by a female staff member. Moments after leaving the store, a man suddenly grabbed my backpack on the street, startling me. He aggressively shouted, “You didn’t pay for this!” I genuinely thought I was being robbed and instinctively tried to avoid him. Despite my obvious alarm, he persisted in tailing me, continuing to yell accusations. It was only after I noticed the store’s logo on his uniform that I realized he was an employee. I showed him my receipt, proving I had paid, and instead of apologizing, he simply muttered “okay” and walked off as if nothing had happened. This outrageous behavior demonstrates a total lack of professionalism. Accusing a paying customer of theft without bothering to check with colleagues is RECKLESS and DISRESPECTFUL. Worse still, shouting accusations in a public space is humiliating and completely UNJUSTIFIED. The fact that he didn’t even apologize on the spot is an insult and indicative of how little regard this shop has for its customers. When I returned to the store to demand an explanation, the staff finally apologized—but it was clearly forced. This does nothing to excuse the harm and embarrassment caused by their incompetence and negligence. AVOID this store at all costs. If I could give ZERO STARS, I would.

I purchased a tumble dryer on the 8th December, I am still on the 3rd of January trying to trace where my order is. 2 failed promised delivery dates. Every time I call the customer services I have a minimum of 30 minute wait whilst they try to verify what’s happening. Do not purchase from this company if unless you want to be let down continuously and 0 star customer service. If I could give a 0 star review, it still wouldn’t be a fair rating of how rubbish they have been to deal with

I visited the store today to buy a kettle. They had good varieties.. chose one, took it to the cashier. opened the the box after getting the cashier's permission to check the contents. I struggled to pack the kettle etc back in the box. I found the cashier was not at all helpful nor did he offer to help despite the fact that there was no one else at the till .. felt he was just too tired to help or put in a smile. Will prefer to buy online on my next purchase

Was looking for an adaptor, staff was impatient and recommended the wrong product. I paid £25 for it and after two minutes came back to say it was the wrong product. Staff refused to give me a refund because I 'didn't have a receipt'. Save your receipt next time because their memory lives shorter than two minutes.
