After several calls with lied that was a system oerror they admited the shop cancelled the order ( out of stoc) but after the cancellation happened tried to book it again and was still available but doubel price almost. Such a dissapointment this shop and customer services etc

Anna on Shoplive chat (video call) made life incredibly easy for me today. She is polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and resourceful. She made me buy the item I am interested immediately and with confidence and comfort. I think she really knows why she is there, what she is doing, and whom she is serving. Thank you so much Anna, I wish every sales agent like you - solving problem and guiding through the purchasing stage smoothly. Five star!!! On a side note, I really like this virtual store and assistance. It worked so well.

Curries has never been a ' go to store' for me over the years since Esther Rantzen's That's Life TV show used to slate their selling traits back in the 70's. I wanted a new printer recently and after a careful research of printers it appeared my local Curries had the model I was after. I decided to pop in and purchase one from them. Once in the shop and queuing I did a last minute check and found Printer Land was selling the exact same printer £25 cheaper, I also noticed that Curries have a price match policy so I continued to the sales assistant and explained what I came to purchase and all that I had learnt whilst waiting in the queue. Thereafter I spent well over 30 minutes whilst he tried to avoid the price match issue. He worked for a considerable time on his terminal trying to get some 'lowdown' on Printer Land inferring that they import the printers and even closely inspected their adverts to see if he could find any foreign language on the page. Not being able to succeed in that, he continued to question me about if it was a 'physical' shop or just only online. The end result was after he consulted someone through his earpiece and said that Curries price match was not possible with this shop and so I left. The 'take away' from this story is that I spent over 30 minutes standing at the counter, he in that time had conversed with a number of his nearby colleagues, non of which had shown any real understanding of the price match pledge or any interest at all, and whilst we were both polite at all times he just wanted to get rid of me. I immediately drove home and purchased the printer on line from Printer Land and is due to be delivered within 2 days of purchase. I have checked Currys Price Match policy prior to writing this review and you can see their image confirms on line purchases and no mention of a physical shop being required. So somethings never change and Curry's are still up to their old tricks, I think they rely on impulse buyers that don't research purchases or as there are now few 'physical' shops, customers succumb to their sales tactics in store. A rather long review this time but I think it has helped 'de-stress me' and lower my blood pressure haha

Refused to help me replace an item and told me I had to contact the manufacturer instead. Thankfully the manufacturer is replacing my product but a refurbished one so not even getting a brand new even though it was faulty! The person in charge at the time (Daniel) was very calm with me even though he didn't know a single thing about consumer rights and admitted this to me. That wasn't necessarily the issue, but with the lack of knowledge and training in this area, he tried quoting me the law and my consumer rights from CHAT GPT!! That I found was extremely unprofessional because AI gets things wrong, and I was showing the legislation right in front of him on the gov website. He was also telling me the law from Scotland instead of from England, which he said are the same, to which I said that's not true. The small Asian lady seemed like she was getting annoyed with me simply because I wasn't accepting what was being said, but I knew more about my consumer rights out of anyone there and that's what businesses like this don't want, because they don't want to help! She was huffing and puffing about it all. The only reason I gave a 2 star instead of 1 is because there was a lady that helped me (didn't catch her name, she was white with short hair I think) and she was the most helpful out of anyone. She managed to print off a receipt for me from last year, as she had access to the system whilst no-one else did. She actually tried to help me, and was going to issue me a replacement until Daniel stopped her saying she can't do it, to which the lady said "But the system allows us to do it." So my replacement could've been issued but Daniel's stubbornness with not wanting to help despite not knowing anything about consumer rights, stopped me from getting my replacement product. It's not my job to educated businesses on consumer rights and argue them for almost 45 minutes. I don't think I should be giving them my money now as they clearly want to con you when something goes wrong with an item. I may as well purchase from the manufacturer directly and cut out the middle man. Absolutely shameful.. *EDIT* I just want to add that I visited a few weeks before and there was a lady on customer services that told me to wait in the payment queue to get seen, despite me also having some questions she could've answered directly as customer services. The next time I came in to pick up my delivery, as soon as I walked in and she recognised me she said "Wait there!!" So I did even though I thought it was a bit rude.. Anyway, When I started talking to Daniel (our first encounter, he was brilliant on that occasion and that's how I remember his name), the rude woman on the customer service desk decided to butt in our conversation. She didn't want to help me at all but was happy to butt in. So she could've helped me then.. Honestly the way some of the staff treat customers is shocking.

Excellent customer service from Sam. I had brought a new phone and Sam transferred everything from my old phone to the new one, something that I wouldn't of been able to do!! He was very patient and helpful. Only negative feedback is that a colleague came past twice to see if he could hurry Sam up. Very annoying when Sam was providing excellent customer service

This store has the most friendly and helpful staff working here. Nothing is never too big and they are handy in providing solutions to issues. They're knowledgeable about the products that they sell. Great place.

Ordered a present via click and collect. Followed the instructions only to be told the "queuing system doors not actually work. Ended up standing around until a switched on member of staff asked if they could help. They explained the malfunction in the system and sorted out my collection. I have always found Currys to be decent value on a lot of electrical goods. They do not get 5 stars because yet again a company is using IT that doesn't work as advertised to replace good old fashioned service.

Went to buy a mobile phone. I waited 20 mins on a person as no advisor was available. When the woman finally arrived she wasn't helpful at all, she didn't offer me anything nor help me comapre 2 phones, wasn't informed about any deals either. I felt like I was being brushed off. Went ready to buy a phone but left with nothing although i understood the phone might have need to be ordered for me which I was ok with to wait for it to be delivered. Waste of my time and travel to store.
