I'm a picky customer when it come to my hair. I have moved around a lot in the last 7 years and each time I have had to find a suitable barber that I had confidence in. When I returned home to Matlock 2 years ago I was very relived to find John after giving him a try. He does a really good haircut at a very reasonable price, normally accompanied by a dram of whisky which is a nice touch. Since the start of Covid when everything moved over to an appointment based system he has always been really good a getting me in even if it means staying later than he normally would. He has a young family and I am happy to support him in his business. I'm more than happy to recommend him as I have done to quite a few of my friends, I'm an all round happy customer!
What a great bloke! Dropped in on the off chance to get my hair cut on Saturday, really friendly welcome and comfy place to wait, even offered a coffee! Really appreciated being told how long the wait was, but actually he was efficent and the wait wasnt long at all. Really decent cut, very professional. Remember it's cash only I had to nip to the Nationwide opposite. Definitely will visit again. Thank you!
Always friendly and full of conversation. Knows his way around a pair of scissors and opens very early a couple of days a week making it ideal for a quick snip before work. Couldn't recommend him more.
