High prices, miserable staff, who don’t want to be there and make you feel like you are putting them out! They also lack knowledge about their products-overall a dreadful customer experience, I won’t be going there again. Would recommend GH Brooks in Harrogate, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great prices!
Purchased some materials for a joiner from Travis Perkins Knaresborough, and the guy I spoke to at the desk, Kane, was very helpful going through my list and helping me order what I needed. The items were delivered in the time period arranged. I needed some extra items and made some returns and on all visits the staff were helpful and at the end there was some material we didn't need and they processed a refund straight on to my card. Overall, have been very happy with my experience.
Michael at the Knaresborough branch sourced the required steel beam for my home renovation at a reasonable price and timely delivery. He was always very punctual responding to queries too. The staff in branch were also helpful and friendly. Thank you TP I’ll definitely be using you again for any home projects.

This branch repeatedly fails to make contact to arrange delivery time. On my last order they also deleted a line without informing me and still delivered the rest so the order was incomplete and made the intended job impossible. Jim from the Customer Relations Team asked Matthew the Branch Manager to look into the matter and contact me. He hasn’t and it ‘s been more than a week now. Have e-mails to back this up. So obviously I don’t matter to them. I’ve been an account holder with TP since 2009, overall they offer good competitive prices but like a lot of companies unless you develop a personal relationship with a member of the sales team, you will probably experience repeated poor customer service. If you’re price fixated then consider them, but if time and customer experience is important to you try either Wickes who demerged from them in 2021 or an independent, preferably family based firm.
Spot on place, friendly staff and management team
I set Reliance Property Maintenance up 6 years ago, Iv accounts with most wholesalers out there. I recently tried Travis as Iv never used them before, there knowledge of products is excellent, they have nearly everything in stock if you need something out of the normal they get it in incredibly quick. Prices are the cheapest I found out there. Oliver Bryant - assistant store manager is the guy I always go straight to, he goes the extra mile, takes pride in his work, excellent prompt communication and always delivers on his word. Drivers are very good skilled unlike most wholesalers most are shocking! Yard guys incredibly helpful, always help load my van up to save my time. Iv now closed all my accounts down bar 1 other because of how impressed I am with them.
