   What a fantastic turnaround the Landlady, Tina, has made with this pub. I have nothing but praise for her. I wouldn't class myself as a regular but do live nearby. Over the years, I have frequented this establishment very sporadically but on the more recent visits, I can't help but be impressed. The clientele are a good mix of ages and in my experience when visiting, they appear to be just down to earth, good people, just wanting to celebrate the weekend in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. My partner & i had a great night in there on Saturday. There was an excellent Dolly Parton tribute act on, the place was packed & the atmosphere was sensational. At no point did I sense any alcohol induced aggro nor did I have to put up with drugs being taken on the toilet visits, a big plus for me personally. Just good people having a great time. Well done Tina & your team. You should be very proud of your achievements thus far and it can only be onwards & upwards for you now. See you soon.

   Absolutely amazing place! Love the beer garden and my children love the park. Made to feel so welcome by staff and always lots of different entertainment available for all. Very beautiful place that’s well looked after and very clean. Superb beer and wine deals

   Under new Management, that follows the rules and laws. ID'ing people, Kids out by 8pm (licencing rules), Absolutely no DRUGs allowed. Great entertainment every Saturday. pool and darts teams.

   Used to be a lovely place to meet mates and play pool/darts, under old owners. Upon arriving this time however, me and my friends were asked for ID immediately. We are all 21/22, so we thought this was odd, but fair enough. Several of my friends' perfectly valid driving licenses were rejected by the landlady, including one being rejected genuinely for the reason "a blind person wouldn't be able to read it". The braille part of the license which she took issue with in was in fact perfectly noticeable. We would have left shortly afterwards anyway as we came to watch the Champions League and were informed there was no BT Sport installed (there had been, under the previous owners). Massively disappointing to have to lose what had long been our group's favourite place to reunite.

   Closed at 6pm on a Saturday, don't know if this is regular thing or if it was just because of Covid Restrictions. Only managed to get last orders and had to walk to Wethersooons on Market Street. Was just under £10 for x3 Fosters. Beer garden was big enough, few benches and a play area.

   Friendly local community pub. There are a small range of beers available on tap and plenty spirits to choose from. The staff are very friendly and the pub is clean and tidy. There's a pool table that's just 50p to use too!
