My pint was off, and the locals also seemed to be quite puzzled at the sight of someone reading a book. Sadly, most of the historic interiors have been stripped out in favour of an awful lot of grey.
Welcoming pub, decent selection of drinks, good atmosphere and can play pool. Would love a dart board in there too. Dog-friendly.
Such a friendly local with superb service and 4 ever changing cask ales. Sports channels shown on monitors in most rooms. Cash only but the beer is incredibly cheap.

Loved this place , we traveled down from South Shields to watch a football match versus Warrington Rylands. In the desire to find a real ale I walked the 15 minutes to the Albion . What a jewel great welcome from both staff (might have been the boss) and customers. I wish they done bed and breakfast, I could of stopped the week . Oh and the beer was great . What a choice at excellent prices. Don’t think about it pay a visit.
A welcoming Landlady, superb selection of cask beers in great condition, at very low prices, with all the other selections of speciality lagers etc, if that's your thing.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and customers. Sky sports. Happy hour is great value, the courtyard is a great size with plenty of seats. Popular pub, would recommend
