Very welcoming and polite barman served us on this Saturday afternoon. It was my first time visiting The Salty Dog, will definitely return and would recommend. This was down to customer service alone and there’s also a good range of drinks. I could also imagine it would be a decent atmosphere when a band is on
Absolutely excellent gig venue - smashing staff - great ale - lovely tribe of people - came to the Halloween bash to see Zombina and the skeletones and felt really comfortable - our first visit but won't be our last - we all loved it.
It's really good. Beer was tasty and pretty cheap really. Everyone who worked there was either nice or very cool. They do gigs on a Monday night! Well recommend. I'll go again if they let me back.
Good that there are still some small independent music venues like the Salty Dog. There's always a good atmosphere and they manage to get some excellent bands. A big bonus to be able to have a decent cask ale as well.

Fantastic friendly pub. Great staff, good selection of ales and lagers. Saw some awesome bands here (The Drowns, Down & Outs, check em out!) Best bar in Northwich!
Really nice and friendly pub, great drinks on tap and good music.
Liked the look of the ales and craft beers so popped in for a couple. Staff very friendly. Lovely sunny afternoon so sat in the Tiki Garden. Had bite to eat which is sent over from a cafe called Vinnie's. Fab beer and food.
