Didnt eat ,just had a drink ,the landlord and the staff really friendly, and chatty ,great place with a lovely atmosphere, and one of the cheapest pubs around .well worth a visit
Excellent traditional local with Ossett White Rat plus a Merlin brewery ale as often as not. Homemade pizza reputed to be good but phone ahead to be sure they are on that evening.
An amazing local pub. Doll and Andy the landlord/ landlady are really friendly. There is a selection of cask ales as well as a selection of gins. They have a weekly quiz on a Thursday, monthly music quiz and karaoke and periodically live music. The pub only does pizzas but they are fresh made to order, delicious and reasonably priced.
Its an English famil pub and not trying to be anything else. Beers sre cold, staff very helpful and big rugby games are shown, which for me was a bonus.
