Nice friendly pub , caters for a lot of people. IE not really cosy but does have a good atmosphere. Good beers on tap and a good discount on a real ale. Food was very poor. We ordered steak and Ale Pie and Chips and mushy peas with gravy. First problem it looked dull, very basic three things plinked in a plate. The chips were not hot and the pie was very tepid. It tasted fine, just dull and cool. Mushy peas felt like they'd see better days. Our friends had different meals but said it was just ok. Shame, used to be better than this as my memory goes.

Been out with the family for a meal, food wasn't the best i had the suet pudding with gravy and chips, suet pudding was filled adequately but the suet pastry was very dry and hard, gravy was gelatinous dipped a chip in the gravy and the chip had no gravy at all on it. One member of the family had a philly cheese steak the smallest of drizzle of cheese on the steal wasnt the best and chicken burger had sage on it which is bizarre and again smallest amount of salad and sauce on it. Wouldn't eat here again for the price as I felt it was a bit over priced for what I ordered today. If the price came down by 3 or 4 pound yes I would probably go back.

Good pub with a quieter, local but more upmarket vibe. Service was great and food was good and well priced. There were plenty of beers on tap too.

Ive heard good things about this pub so me and my nan decided to pay a visit today, service was standard, atmosphere was decent but the food was atrocious. I ordered a buttermilk chicken burger with bacon without any salad etc, it came with everything that I specifically didn't ask for which wasn't a good start, the bun was supposed to be toasted but was soft, the bacon was anaemic and the chicken burger itself was dry, I've eaten a lot of burgers all around the world and this is by far the worst I've had.

Excellent large fish n chips, washed down with several J.W.Lees Manchester Craft Lager. Staff are extremely friendly and very efficient.

No Atmosphere, Staff Clinical, Beer, Flavourless, More like a Cold City Pub, not what You'd expect on a Upmarket Estate in the Heart of Cheshire. I lived on the Estate since 1997 and it's always been the same, which is why I usually go to the Bulls Head, a far nicer Cheshire Pub with Good Food & Good Ale...........

Disgusted. As a regular customer refused entry for a quick pint around 7 pm while waiting for a takeaway as It was ticket only from 7.30. Had takeaway and walked to the bowling green where we were made to feel very welcome. Won't be going back as that's no way to treat people who use the pub all year round versus those that go out to the pub one night a year.
