Friendly pub. Family in urgent need of evening meal. Food arrived hot and plentiful. Staff welcoming, attentive & helpful.
Just had a superb Sunday lunch here. Choice of roasts with all the trimmings. Advertised as home cooked and it is, beautifully cooked by Laney. Puddings are excellent as well. All at very sensible money. Highly recommend this pub for a friendly welcome and proper food.
Popped in as a break from a long journey on the motorway and it was lovely! Very very friendly staff who went above and beyond for us, standard pub food with no fault and great prices :)
Traditional pub thats got very welcome atmosphere, friendly helpful well presented staff that can't do enough for you and great food at an affordable price. Highly recommend
Great atmosphere, really friendly and helpful staff, lady who works in the kitchen was especially helpful and really good with my autistic nephew. Food was fantastic and great sized portions, and particularly good service when you consider that we were a party of nine (plus dogs!) who turned up without a reservation. Would definitely recommend.
Not first time I stayed there.perfect place if you are doing sandstone trail. Can be a bit noisy since its a pub but will quite down after 10pm Food was really good and staff were really friendly Rooms aren't the cleanest but perfect stay for one night while doing the trail Will deffo go back
Large and very friendly pub set on the edge of the beautiful picturesque villiage of Tarporley. Our Sunday lunch was amazing and chef made sure we were all satisfied with our food...impressive staff hospitality ! Plenty of outdoor drinking space too in the beer garden for the warmer weather or enjoying watching sports on the giant screen. Highly recommended.
I stayed here on 18th September 2022 for one night. The room was warm, and bed comfortable, the tea making facilities were excellent. Also there was a tray with bottles on and a small fridge. The Sunday roast was tasty and the breakfast excellent. The only negative thjng was normally bar staff knock the tv standby off but this did not happen and standby flashed amber to blue which was distracting. So check with staff thie tv is off. Otherwise, a very comfortable stay and will stay again.
Lovely pub, nice ales and very nice Landlady and Landlord. Highly recommended. I stayed in the accommodation as I was visiting Oulton Park next day which is a 10 minute drive away. It's an ideal base.
Stayed here for the night after walking part of the sandstone trail. The staff are brilliant. The room is nice with a nice hot shower an comfy beds. The food is lovely. Really nice atmosphere in the pub at night. Nice breakfast as well.
