   Went here on Saturday 2pm 29th November. Booked a table downstairs for lunch. Brilliant service. Apologies I cant remember the two young men that really looked after us. Incredible atmosphere, yes its busy (popular) but the bar staff are professional and effecient. Large range of cask beers and all very well kept and poured. Thanks for a great experience. We will be back.

   My friend and me had lunch at the Helter Skelter today. We were looked after by Sam. I say 'looked after' because he was so helpful and accommodating. Sam is a definite asset to the H.S. ! Have to say too that the food was excellent. Hot and well prepared. We would both highly recommend a visit - especially for lunch. 10/10 Helter Skelter ....well done !!

   This place is known for good food, First time here. Ordered steak and chips. Bit of a wait to come out, but it was perfectly cooked. Proper onion rings, crispy and perfect. Steak was perfectly cooked and chips lovely. Had San Miguel.

   This is real ale heaven. Huge range of beers. Only complaint being only one bitter and a lot of strong beers. Ate here a while back in the upstairs room. Yum. Can get noisy for old people like Paulicarus and I. The type of pub you can live in and beer will come too you. Tv's for footie etc.

   Amazing food! This is not pub grub, this is the real deal.. Service was relaxed and friendly. Tables are perfectly spaced and the decor has a very nice touch. Can't believe I've not been here before and will definitely be going again.

   What an amazing little place for food. Can't believe we've not been before but will definitely return and recommend to others. My little girl loved the chicken goujons starter, but when her child's steak came out it was quite medium rare. To be fair webhadnt specifically asked which way it was to be cooked, but we assumed being a kids meal it would be cooked more. No hassles sending it back and appologies from the kitchen. The waiting on staff were attentive and friendly. If you get chance to try the wild mushroom starter- I can definitely recommend it!! Our families meals were all enjoyed and finished. Not a huge pudding selection but well made. Will be looking forward to going back again soon. Hubby can't wait to make his way through the cask ales either :)

   Very friendly staff who go above and beyond. They opened upstairs up just so they could offer us a table, although we hadn't asked and it was very busy so we were about to leave but the nice fella behind the bar clocked us. The food is beautiful and the portions generous. I will be returning. Thank you.

   We had our Christmas doo last night. The food was absolutely amazing. I had belly pork and black pudding. Delicious. Only slight disappointment i could say is 2 meals were a little late coming but apart from that a wonderful meal with great company
