    We went for a birthday meal and were shown to a tiny table for two in a completely empty restaurant. We obviously asked to sit somewhere else, the table we were supposed to sit at had a computer and printer on it- a very scruffily dressed member of staff then sat there and hammered away at the computer, right next to us, again in a completely empty room. The food took 45 mins to arrive and was decent, the wine was barely chilled. £65, no wonder it was empty, won’t be going back. .

    The food is very good for the usual pub affair, it actually is cooked rather than microwaved. Big space out back for drinks in summer or when the weathers good. Also has a small kids play area which is handy if you go there for a meal with kids.

    Lovely pub. Visited when it was quiet so service was quick and friendly. Prices were far more reasonable than I expected too. The only downside to the visit was that when we visited the restaurant was undergoing refurbishment (expected to be completed November 22) so it was bar snacks only. Toilets were functional and clean. Customer car park on site. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Very nice pub. Good atmosphere and live music at weekends. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Good selection of beers. Sometimes difficult to get served due to some people sitting at the bar and blocking access for customers. I would suggest they are moved during busy times, allowing people to be served faster, and more money taken.

    A really nice pub. The new owners have done an amazing job redecorating the inside and it has made it a really friendly and warm place to have a drink. There is a fantastic beer garden outside and little bit of history dotted all around the place.

    The refurb is brilliant and the owner is lovely. Hopefully they will start doing food soon reasonably priced which will attract the custom. We had three pints and a large wine £17. Little pricy but we liked it here
