   We booked for a family of 11 including 2 infants for our Christmas Dinner which was a shambles. The starters was nice but came out in fits and starts. The mains was very poor the lamb shanks option was anorexic with an unreasonable portion of trimmings. Some of the turkey Dinner meat was terrible we also ordered extras pigs in blankets and roast potatoes which eventually turned up after everyone had finished their meals and out of all the desserts the kids ice cream was the best. I will definitely be giving this place a wide birth in future I wish there was a lower rating than 1☆ After costing nearly £700 in total its got to be the worst Christmas Dinner ever

   Called in for dinner while charging my car etc tend not to eat large plates so ordered two starters pawn cocktail and cauliflower wings, after half an hour food came out, wish it didn’t.. cauliflower wings were dripping in oil must have been deep fat fried. Pawn cocktail was not fresh smelt very strong, believe they might have been frozen and defrosted to order but goodness knows how old they were. None of this had been close to a chef, not too sure who made the starters but staff walked past on numerous occasions and never acknowledged I hadn’t eaten either of them. So poor the food, staff just need experience and training, not their fault but who is in charge of the kitchen and food going out to paying customers at this standard? Don’t get me wrong it’s a pub not silver service Michelin Star restaurant I know the difference before the keyboard worries join in. Place was empty apart from a couple of people say five but even one of them had to ask staff to serve me as he was walking away from bar and nobody else was there waiting miss invisible I was.

   Popped in with my wife on a cold and wet Thursday afternoon for a drink and some lunch. Wasn't disappointed. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice atmosphere even with only a small number of other customers in the pub. Heating was on so it was nice and warm with a cozy feeling. We ordered two Philly steak baguettes and we're not disappointed. Very tasty and a good size portion. My only negative comment is the need to register your car to park in the car park or face being fined. This annoys me at any public house but even more a pub in a rural area that isn't being misused by shoppers parking in the pub and then going elsewhere. I really cant see the need other than it's a money making scam for the land owner and not the pub I believe. All in all a great visit with friendly staff, in nice surroundings and nice food. Will definitely be back.

   Lovely welcome from Katie & staff. We had our dog (Marlow) with us & he too loved all the attention & treats. Nice & warm even though it was cold outside My grandchildren loved the play area & enjoyed themselves & ate all their food. Really pleased with food & service Will definitely return very soon & hopefully make the Manor Farm our local…well done everyone at Manor Farm Rainhill Thank you

   Hi so first of all they had a party for Halloween. So the excuse was that’s why we were left waiting for an hour and twenty minutes before even being served a starter. Poor planning on management and kitchen staff’s part if you have extra activities then you plan ahead. Now let’s get to the nitty gritty of it all, and that’s exactly what is it gritty and disgusting is the only way I can describe what was served to us. A Sunday lunch with grey slices of packet beef, potatoes so burnt you could have put the windows in with them. The vegetables were not the best either the gravy is from a tub. Non of it was eaten I feel like we were robbed. And before use start with your snide defensive come backs I’ve got pictures that prove everything I’ve written. The staff were lovely the food is disappointing the pub itself is beautiful and full of historical information etc. the last picture I’ve posted is the food as we were leaving (uneaten as it was fully inedible) words and pictures can’t explain the insult of serving this food to paying customers.

   Poor.. There was nobody behind the bar when came in & when someone came out we were told it was a half hour wait for food when we ordered at 12.45.We didn't receive our food until 1.55 after asking at 1.45 & being told it was being plated up. Steak was done to death (I asked for medium rare) & service was uncommunicative re cutlery etc so had to go look for it when meals arrived..

   Had our Christmas Day Dinner here this year. Won't lie, it's the first Christmas Day I have eaten out - And I wasn't disappointed!!! WELL worth the money. Food was lovely, and the staff were brilliant - Nothing was too much trouble. Very warm, friendly atmosphere.

   Another lovely visit to the Manor. Me and my daughter had breakfast, the food came out hot and was really tasty. Had exceptional service from Laura who couldn’t do enough for us, always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. She is an amazing asset to the establishment. Pub was clean and toilets clean also. Will be coming back.

   Not a bad place actually. Lovely building and gardens. It was quite busy when we went with a party going on as well as lots of other families/kids too. Our food came in good time though and was tasty and reasonably priced.
