   The hotel was comfortable, clean and beautifully set up. The staff were lovely and the price was affordable, especially so close to Christmas. The beds were very comfortable, we had two singles pushed together which was great as it felt like a Queen size! There was an opportunity for breakfast in the morning should we have wanted it. Lots of parking, very festive atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

   We had the Festive Menu. The food was really good, very tasty, nice and hot and value for money. The staff and their service was very good, friendly and efficient. We had to wait for one of our party to arrive and there was no trouble at all in delaying the meal until she arrived. We had one slight problem when trying to pay the bill. We wanted to pay separately, there were five in our party. Due to the way the till is configured this was not possible. The atmosphere was nice and calm and friendly. All this made it a very enjoyable visit.

   Cosy, warm atmosphere with good quality beer and excellent food. The Courage bitter was very very good. The idea of having lighter food options is a very good one; the lighter option steak in particular was delicious. The barman was very welcoming and knowledgeable and the breakfast waitress was equally good. The breakfast chef coming out to see how we enjoyed our meal was a nice touch. Our room was good - warm and well appointed.

   Friendly staff from walking in to leaving. Food was hot and tasted amazing. Drinks were lively and refreshing (not flat). Prices were reasonable. Would definitely recomend. Couldn't fault our visit and will be returning soon.

   Had a great nights stay at the Red lion. Rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast were both very tasty and good value. Staff very friendly. I would stay here again.

   Lovely pub in a lovely location, the staff were excellent and warm and the food is really good. I Thoroughly enjoyed the daily meal deal offers particularly the sirloin and chips meal. I would certainly visit again whenever I am in the area

   This is our second visit here. Lovely staff & so friendly, we stayed 2nights this time. Room is great & the bed is so comfortable, always get a good nights sleep then a smashing breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day. We will be back again xx
