Brilliant food, lovely atmosphere and great service. Ordered a steak and waitress brought out my meal with the steak sliced up. My arm is broken and in a sling - nice touch from the staff, was quite impressed. It's just the small things like this that make customers come back.

Was looking for a nice place for food and drove passed this place many times and never gave it a second thought, then decided to give it a go. This is now our go to place to reset after our busy work week, sat at the bar spoke to owner like old friends The staff are so polite even on the phone and the food along with service is amazing, prices are unbeatable honestly give it a try you wont be disappointed Thanks for the amazing service sorry to hear Adam is leaving ( going to Preston good luck with the new house ) and also Rachel leaving going travelling ( good luck and enjoy )Rich & Michelle x x x Just an additional review, so the bistro is now open upstairs and wowzas we thought it couldn’t get any better but it does, the bistro has 10/12 tables that are yours for 1 sitting only so not getting different people in and out, the chefs get to show their culinary skills and the staff are once again amazing, if your looking for a special night give it a try xx

My family and I visited the Cricketers as part of a celebration for my brothers graduation ceremony. They had a set menu and the food was absolutely superb, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere, facilities and ambience of the pub, including their flower planters in their outdoor patio area was just lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and my meal, and was particularly impressed with our waiter, Ken, who was both intelligent, articulate, friendly, efficient and extremely professional. I had a very positive experience here ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me and my mum went here for tea last night. It was lovely and always has been for many many years now. This is why its one of the best places to eat in Ormskirk. Thanks to the staff who are a pleasure.

Went for a birthday meal for my son. There were 5 adults. The menu is interesting, with some favourites and some more unusual options.m including vegetarian dishes. It was quite busy when we arrived so somewhat noisy. I found the music too loud and some of the lighting a little harsh. Other than that, the seating was comfortable, service was friendly (slow but they did seem to have a few large parties in). We all enjoyed the meals we had. Some were served in unexpected ways - mine on a board with little pans and saucers for each part of the dish - while others were served on proper plates. The prices are on the high side but not too bad for a nice treat. Ours averaged about £27 per person with 5 meals, 3 desserts, and a couple of drinks each. Small car park. Clean toilets. Wheelchair accessible (but some narrow spaces).

Had a fabulous meal here for my sister's 30th. The staff were so accommodating, excellent customer service, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.
