The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, really nice layout and very cosy. Whilst the food was good the service wasn't. We were in as 4 adults and 2 children. The adults had finished their starters by the time the kids starters came (We'd started eating as we were advised the kids soups were coming). When they came they were adults soups (different soup). When the mains came we had ordered pigs in blankets (a £6 extra!!) But we had to chase up multiple times. By the time they came We'd finished the mains. It wasnt even that busy. Shame as was really looking forward to it

Had a lovely meal at the newly renovated Windmill. It was from the festive lunch menu which was good value, and very tasty and well presented. I was a bit disappointed with my desert - Winter Berry Mess as it was made of ice cream rather than cream, but it didn’t spoil the experience. The renovations are lovely and I’ll definitely be returning.

Wonderful family meal here. The staff were incredibly friendly and there was a real warmth to the place, lovely atmosphere and the food was spot on. Very spacious upstairs, our daughter loved exploring between courses, cater well for families and young kids here.

Lovely atmosphere and lovely food. Bit on the pricey side, £26 for a sirloin sizzler and the portion size wasn't very big.. leaving very hungry still. Dessert menu needs a refreshing.

Absolutely lovely staff, the lady who waited on us was so nice and friendly. Lots of food choices on the menu and overall tasty. Plenty of seating, really nice decor and a good pleasant atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. They are currently doing work downstairs which will help families with prams and even disabled people to have access. A lovely area to sit outside next to the canal and plenty of parking in a small area (add your registration when you enter the pub).

Popped in with friends on a Saturday evening while visiting. It was busy, but the staff found a table for us all. Inside is comfortable clean and well decorated. We enjoyed the atmosphere so decided to have dinner. We all agreed the food was great and reasonably priced. Staff are really friendly and helpful, the manager was really funny and friendly. Lovely pub, lovely food, lovely atmosphere and excellent staff. Highly recommended.

Looks nice to eat here but we had just popped in for a quick drink. The place was busy but it was all people eating. There were no tables to just have a drink. We managed to get a table when some diners had gone. Drank up quick and left. Inside was quite nice but didn't stay long enough for a detailed review.

This is a gem of a place really enjoyed our visit the food and the service we had. It's called the Windmill likely as it's next to what was an old mill now used as a gallery. They have a small car park to the side and rear and parking is not really big enough for the venue. The building is deceptive and they have a good amount of tables inside. They do have a few tables outside which would be ok in the summer. They have a great menu and a specials board, the three in our party all had different meals and all were excellent. The waitress was very attentive and they made a small modification to one of the set meals on the menu as one item wasn't to the persons taste, it appeared to be no issue. Would love to return and try some of the other items on the menu. If you are close make it a stop for food.

Absolutely delicious food. We had the beef Sunday roast, the duck roast and the bakewell and raspberry tart. Dog friendly, so we sat in the dog friendly area, which is this cosy small room which had a 6 seater, 4 seater and 2 seater table. Staff were friendly however minor tweaks could be made, such as; reading the specials to customers instead of directing them to the board; checking on how customers are enjoying their food; checking if customers want more drinks. We had a great time though and will definitely be back. It's right next to the canal as well so perfect for a walk afterwards.
