   Threatened by bouncers don’t go near! We went for a quiet drink at 9pm and the bouncer who hid his badge said we were not welcome only trade at this time - don’t bother going at any time as not welcome would not reveal his badge so not competent and legit people working there!!! Beware don’t go

   After a difficult day came in, and was made very welcome. Couldn't of asked for better company or service. Will definitely come back and have some more shots. Some of the best whiskeys I've seen around in one place.

   The things I like about this pub is that it's quiet. I've been coming here on and off for twenty years or so and it has all the right ingredients for a nice pint. They have a good selection of beers, the barman is always friendly and there's comfy chairs to sit. This pub has changed a little bit over the years as the interior keeps changing a little bit each time I come. It's a bit of a challenge to see what's different. Look out for the notice board outside before you come inside, there's always a gem of wisdom chalked on the board.

   Great little city centre pub right off the main drag. Enjoyed a couple of real ales in a cozy atmosphere listening to a decent music mix at just the right volume. It was busy when we arrived but most of the people left for the horse racing that was taking place that afternoon. All in all an enjoyable visit .

   Yeses itit wasas alriright inin thethe Marlbororough. Me and my crew needed somewhere Q to talk business. Didn't want to bump into too many posers, quasi posh people or old fuddy duddies. This fitted the bill nicely.

   Was just passing, whilst on a trip to Chester. Never seen this place or heard about it. The guy that served us was very friendly, he even gave my wife of a draught cider that she'd never heard of to see if she liked it. I had a porter, brewed locally, and I was mightily impressed. I'm normally a Guinness man, but this was very nice. Would I call in again, yes on another trip, would definitely recommend it to a local.
