The service is very bad. We contacted them based on checking in at eleven o'clock. We arrived and did not find anyone there. I do not recommend it at all.
This place is lucky to even get one star from me got there was supposed to have an email with the code for the keys didn’t get that. When I got through the door the place stank of weed and keeping in mind I have a toddler. Trying to get hold of someone to even acknowledge any of this is a joke. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy
Friendly staff, though I have only started visiting this pub this year. Multiple big TVs showing sport (dog racing when I visited one wet evening recently). Handy that there's a bus stop outside, for buses to the Bus station at Washington Parade, and I bet some customers may pop in after a train journey returning to New Strand from the city...

Brilliant atmosphere and really friendly staff and clientele. Well run and has a great beer garden. All live sports shown on HUGE Sky screens. Very family orientated.
To be fair, maybe it was the other guests that played the main factor, but the place wasn't cleaned very well. We stayed there for 4 days and each day there were used towels over the communal bathroom floors. The other guests didn't clean up after themselves and neither did the staff? Wait there wasn't a staff. The only time I saw a staff member was when I complained about the cleanliness and the lack of toilet paper. This next statement has nothing to do with other guests.... this place is above a bar/pub so it's very loud. Very loud. Apparently they have karaoke nights on Saturday night. I'm sure it's fun but not when you're trying to rest after a long day of exploring the city. Bed and Breakfast? Nope, just a bed. Maybe it's my misconception of a bed and breakfast, but I thought someone would be there to provide breakfast. Again, no one cleaned so no one cooked breakfast either. The place is located in a run down part of town. There's not much there to be seen, so you will have to get a ride into Liverpool to see any variety of restaurants.
