   It was ok, very dated little quirky place, friendly enough the service was good, the Guinness needed work, too warm not enough snap. Use spoons Guinness as an example of the perfect pint.

   Great old traditional pub.. hasn't changed in the 40 years I've visited. Very friendly manageress and the locals were also very welcoming. Extremely dog friendly for those that may be bothered or affected.

   Proper real ale pub. Very no frills, so if that's not your vibe it won't be for you. But if you like a traditional boozer, very much in the kind of mould that a CAMRA enthusiast would enjoy... Happy days! Very much in the top tier of pubs not just in Waterloo but in North Liverpool more widely. Would recommend for anyone interested in traditional pubs.

   Probably the best pub ever. Started going there more than 40 years ago. Just moved back to the area and its as good as ever. If you like TV screens and music you're going to be disappointed, it's a proper pub.
