Lovely pool, friendly staff. Pity the café isn't open, I guess they're running on a right budget but these are the places we need most. Go and enjoy it, help it make it through the night!

Great place for swimming and Tiny Teds with my little one. LOVE the family changing rooms - we come here for those as it's so much easier than Urmston and Sale pools if you have a baby. It is a bit tired and needs some TLC, but it's not that bad really, and we're really glad to have this nearby.

I’ve been to see my nephew having intensive swimming lessons here the last 2 weeks - last week the instructor David was brilliant and my nephew felt he started to improve and loved the feedback and coaching through the session. Today the session was terrible, the instructor Amy was disinterested and the kids clearly were not getting any guidance…after which my nephew really doesn’t want to go back. Would not recommend unless you know who the instructor will be.

A decent facility that is a great asset for the community. The swimming pool is being well used and is the ideal size. The building is starting to look old and tired but with plans for upgradable the facility under consideration it will shime once again when the work is done. It's not that it is worn-out, just starting to look like an old building, it is still perfectly serviceable and useable. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The 25m pool is still good for lengths, the gym, although old equipment is still serviceable.

Lovely friendly staff. Daughters swimming teacher Fran is awsome with her encouraging and engaging and pushes her when needed. Only issue is with the selfish people who leave their belongings in the cubicles rather than using the lockers of which is there plenty my daughter is a teenager and body aware so prefers to be in a cubicle rather than the shared changing room area.

Does anyone remember when you could just go for a swim? Like turn up, pay and go in. Now you have to book in advance a 45 min session and youll be lucky if you can find one. Too many different types of swim session trying to meet too many different needs means no ones happy.

Visited for the first time on Saturday afternoon with my six-year-old to use the main pool. It's true that the place is ready for a refurb, but we were really happy here. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool is a proper 25 metre length, and I appreciated the marginally cooler water as I find most pools too hot. Neither of us had any issues swimming for almost an hour. Though we didn't use it, the smaller pool is still a very decent size and apparently kept warmer for younger swimmers. It might be handy to know that the café appears to have closed some time ago, so bring your own brew if you're spectating! Also, male changing is the classic open bench layout, so bear that in mind if you're bringing a mixed group. There may be family changing, I didn't happen to ask. Seventies décor may not be to everyone's taste, but I think it's great. Overall I found it to be a relaxed place to visit with a lovely pool and we'll definitely be back.
