   After finding out that the St. James street Davidoff location didn't have an indoor "sampling" lounge, I found myself at this James J. Fox cigar shop. The store itself is stunning, no question about it. As someone visiting from the U.S., I was really looking forward to browsing a selection of Cuban cigars. Cuban sticks are kinda the forbidden fruit for American citizens, something we don't really have access to back in the states. That said, the experience didn’t unfold the way I hoped. One of the staff members, who seemed to be a sales associate, gave off a very unwelcoming vibe. I can’t say for certain what he was thinking, but it genuinely felt like I wasn’t considered a serious or desirable customer from the moment I walked in. I wasn’t dressed up, just typical casual attire, and maybe that’s all it took for him to make assumptions. I was going to buy one cuban cigar, a birthday present for myself, and enjoy it inside the "sampling" lounge. I don't know much about Cuban cigars, and i was hoping to get some information on various brands, let them know my budget, and have them recommend a good stick for the occasion. After receiving nothing but "nose up in the air" treatment from the staff, i decided to buy a lower tier cigar from a New World brand that i was familiar with. As I was paying for the cigar, the associate down played my purchase, as if i was buying a generic product because my bank account couldn't afford the more expensive option. He done this in a very jokingly manner. His behavior really rubbed me the wrong way, and I really didn't feel welcomed, and I won't be back nor will I recommend this shop to anyone...

   Absolutely fantastic cigar shop. Extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgable cigar experts in the shop. Also the only cigar shop I've came across that had my favourite, very underrated go-to Cuban available, the Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 2, which certainly had me pleased. It was really cool to converse with the experts in the shop about the cigars, and while we were too close to the shop closing on arrival to visit the lounge, they were happy for us to visit the room downstairs to take pictures with Winston Churchill's chair as well as multiple other related artifacts such as Pol Roger's Winston Churchill champagne bottles. Prices were also super reasonable, it was cheaper to get my favourite cigar here than it has been at my usual cigar place for the past few years!

   Cool lounge with lots of history and I really enjoyed the vibe and the setting. Staffs were friendly and knowledgeable too. Just a heads up, service upstairs could be better as the ashtray was full from previous customer and only cleared after 35 minutes. Still a nice spot to chill and soak in some stories from the past.

   What pulled me into James J. Fox was its rich and interesting history. It’s known as the oldest cigar shop in the world, dating back to 1787, and you can feel that heritage the moment you walk in. GEORGE was so welcoming and friendly, took the time to give me a tour, and explained what the place is all about. Downstairs there’s a small museum with Churchill’s actual chair, Oscar Wilde’s ledger, and the oldest box of Havana cigars brought into the UK. Upstairs there’s a rare indoor smoking lounge where they serve you tea or coffee while you enjoy your cigar. The cigar selection is excellent, from Cuban staples to vintage and New World options. Whether you’re into cigars or just curious about a slice of London history, this place is definitely worth checking out.

   Visited this exquisite venue to have our first cigar taster session. It was polite, welcoming and very informative. We were served by George who we agreed was absolutely delightful. This venue does not exclude any persons and the prices are accommodating to every bodies pocket. I would highly recommend this experience. And have a sit in Winston Churchill’s chair- the power is real!

   One of my favourite places to relax and enjoy a cigar. With the iconic window upstairs in the lounge. Also has Winston Churchills old chair which can be visited in the museum with some other old relics of the cigar world. Highly recommend

   Had a fantastic experience. A great nerdy chat with Joe from within the humidor Walked away with a few cigars and a pipe. Brilliant afternoon cigar in the smoking lounge with good company. All in all is a stop not to be missed if u enjoy your tobacco
