   I called here on the off chance to see if they could fixed my window that was jammed open They not only fixed window straight away but didn't charge That's a rarity. I'm definitely going back for any work that may be needed so knowledgeable as far as minis are concerned 5 stars from me

   Took my Mini for a service and to check a few things. Super thorough and recommended some works such as the timing chain etc. Re-booked back in for the work and everything was done promptly and had a full explanation of the works carried out including photos and the old parts to look at. Would happily recommend for any mini issues.

   What a find! My son’s little Mini Roadster had a rattle in the engine compartment and of course these things do not get better. We were told at a recent MOT That it was the timing chain. PANIC! My own garage of 20 years refused to do such a job which in itself was disconcerting. So. I’m now doing my usual research and put the job out to a tendering website and got one result. But in conversation with them I wasn’t inspired by their knowledge. I said to my son that we really needed to find a garage that had lots of experience with mini (except BMW main dealerships) (I’ve never in my long life had any faith in main dealers) By now I have read up as much as I can about replacing the timings chain and talked to more garages. I even went to a mini specialist in Wigan and within short order realized that they were giving me answers about the wrong engine and a whole lots of others work they did to justify an enormous potential bill. Along this journey I did come across a company called the Mini Guy in Birkenhead. I passed by their ad a few times but after talking to the specialist in Wigan I felt I had nothing to lose. I have to tell you. These guys knew everything about Mini’s. They did timing chains all day long and I could not fault their evaluation. Chris finally asked me as to how I knew it was the timing chain making the noise. I told him I was advised at an MOT. He asked me to bring the car along for him to do his own assessment. It made sense. So I did. On arrival the mechanic Dave came out and said something interesting. He tells me that the noise was probably not the timing chain. (The car by now sounded like a biscuit tin full or nuts and bolts) “Leave the car with me for an hour and I’ll give you a call” he says. Well he was right. It wasn’t the timing chain. It was the water pump pulley and the Auxiliary belt and a tensioner. Within two hours the car was back to its old self sounding lovely and purring along. Chris and Dave are to lovely guys who explain and show you what has happened. Sometimes you get a good feeling about people. This gives you such confidence in their work ethic. I promised I would write a review and it’s the least I can do to say thank you for their time and effort. Not to mention my appreciation for their knowledge about this brand. If you take your car to them. You’ll not regret it! Steve Barber

   5 star review from me, the guys are very professional and know they’re stuff. I dropped the car off in the morning with a gear selector issue and they had it done same day, what service! If you’ve got a mini with a problem, contact the Mini Guy to get it fixed fast and at the right price. I wouldn’t go anywhere else !

   Absolutely brilliant customer service, handled by Sir Ian Davies. Bought a used engine advertised via Facebook Marketplace. Responded very quickly. I personally recommend The MiniGuy, whether for sourcing parts, undertaking jobs or whatever at all times, assisted very me very well, very knowledgeable kind and polite. 10/10

   I 100% completely recommend The Mini Guy for any of your mini needs. Completely outstanding customer service! whilst browsing the web trying to find the best option to go for as my 5 speed was on its way out, I came across an old advert for a 6 speed box on Facebook under the name “The Mini Guy” so I clicked on to it and after a little scrolling back I found the original post and I found out that they weren’t just selling boxes they even offered a fitting service and after doing a little reading through there website to get a sense of what there about I was confident that they’d be able to help so I sent a message asking if he had any boxes in and fortunately he had one lsd 6 speed in stock but no standard 5 speeds which lets be honest if your dropping either of the 5 speed midlands gearbox or getrag you might as well not replace it with butter again so after messaging back and forth I went ahead with booking it in for the conversion, now I need to make this very clear when I said his customer service is outstanding I meant it, I live 44ish miles away or about an hour so it’s not quite down the road and I work Tuesday - Saturday so dropping the car off was limited to a Sunday as on the Monday they wanted there already to get going on it (car was booked in week before Christmas) but he Ben met me on the Sunday evening to collect the car and make sure the keys were safe in the building, I’d even like to mention that when I dropped the car off I asked if it would be possible to have a look at a couple more things and it was any more issue for him! All through out the week incredible communication about the progress of the job and I honestly really do appreciate the time and effort that went in to swapping the boxes but even more so for the customer service, I shall hopefully be back in the not to distant future for a different swap.
