   Used Twiggs twice for my barn conversion in Autumn 2025, once for 1st floor steels and a 2 fabricated end channels and 2nd for fabrication steel work to strengthen a timber truss. They were competitively priced for the work, providing me with quick and detailed quotes. They were also very helpful on the phone with any queries I had. Would fully recommend them.

   I've been coming to Twiggs for nearly 40 years and they have always provided excellent service, either in the steel stock or in the yard stores across the road. Very knowledgeable staff always keen to see that you get the right product, whether you are in the trade or completely distant from one.

   Helpful staff but seriously expensive. I'm all for local businesses particularly a local privately run DIY outlet but there's a limit !! Same items I purchased were less than half the price online when I checked.

   I am not a professional and therefore haven't had occasion to use twiggs that often, however on 2 separate occasions I've gone in with an urgent DIY issue first thing in the morning which appeared overnight and they have taken the time to find me a solution (under £5 both times with no upselling), been polite and friendly, and never made me feel uncomfortable. I've used them for other less urgent things too and will continue to use them in the future.

   This is the best place in Derbyshire to get sound advice on any DIY job! They allow me to present any issues/ideas and questions without making me feel in the slightest bit silly! And I have asked them some fairly basic questions. But to me these are big jobs -.pointing, guttering, grouting, patio laying. Lovely, knowledgeable staff, and great prices.
