   Rang at 5pm. Told to drive over to get a tyre changed. Said I would be 10 mins or so. I was 15 as Wood lane was closed. Rang to get directions at 5:15. Great. As was turning into Wood lane the bloke realised I wanted a new tyre and said we are closed! I told him a colleague had told me to drive up. Who was that says he? What? No we are out the door! Advertises open til 6. This was before 5:20. Not getting my custom ever! He didn’t even give me a chance to talk. Simply cut me off. Got to find the facebook page now to berate them. Terrible service!

   I recently had a terrible experience with Woodlane Garage. When my partner's tyre went flat on a Thursday, we decided to take it to this garage despite hearing negative reviews due to its proximity and availability. I thought a simple tyre change would be simple enough to trust them with but our experience was even worse than we anticipated. The staff member that greeted me who seemed to be in charge, claimed to have the tyre in stock. He later phoned me and admitted they didn't and it wouldn't be available until the next day. In hindsight, it feels like I was told they had it in stock purely to get our custom and therefore money. Upon picking up the car, we found the key inside and the window wide open in an unsecured parking area. To our dismay, the tyre warning light immediately came back on. After resetting it and driving a short distance, the light reappeared, and the car began handling strangely. We stopped to check the tyre and discovered it was flat again with a hissing noise. When we returned to the garage, the staff member accused us of causing the issue, stating "Well, I don't know what you've done to it." This was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Despite explaining the hissing noise, the staff member said that their wasn’t and said ‘I trust my ears’ and refused to take responsibility. After further insistence from us that there was a problem, the staff member finally inspected the wheel having taken it back off and then discovered a significant crack on the inside of the alloy wheel. It was now clear that this was the cause of the original flat tyre, and the garage's negligence had led to unnecessary delay and costs of us travelling to the garage. There was absolutely no apology, just an additional cost to us of £80 to weld the wheel and it wouldn’t be done until Monday. The staff member tried to pass this off as a discount! He said it normally costs £140 for this, but £80 is what the welder charges him. I find that outrageous! I understand that there are a few additional costs to the tyre fitter but not £60 worth! When you’re paying £192 for a new tyre and it to be fitted you should expect a little bit of care to be given. There was still no apology or acceptance of responsibility when I finally collected the car. A simple apology and acceptance that this was their fault would’ve made us feel less bitter about our whole experience and would’ve probably stopped this bad review. For reference, we spoke with another independent tyre fitter who suggested that it would be impossible to miss a crack like the photo when you’re fitting a tyre as you’re meant to perform a visual inspection of the alloy. I wonder what else they fail to see or do when working on more complex parts of cars. Personally, I really wouldn’t want to find out! I strongly advise anyone considering this garage to avoid it at all costs. Their poor quality of work, rude staff member, and lack of customer care are unacceptable. I will NEVER be returning to this garage.

   Stopped here for some help with a nail in my tyre on a Saturday.. my tyre wasn't available on such short notice but the guy was so so helpful.. topped it up and did something with the nail to slow the leak! I got all the way home safely with my toddler and he didn't charge me anything! Thankyou so so much

   If you like to have your vehicle correct and tip top ...then this is the place to be. If your looking for a cheap place just to keep your vehicle on the road, then you would have to look elsewhere. This isn't a second grade service garage. I value my safety and have both my vehicles registered with this Garage. Great service from the lads there, very knowledgeable and helpful.

MOT tests and pretest checks available along with puncture repair and supply and fitting of new tyres. Small reception with vending machines and comfy seating. Helpful staff and proprietor.
