BEWARE, daughter had her MOT done in November 2024 despite the last three MOTs having no advisories they did over £900 worth of work including work on front suspension and 2 new front tyres and recommended a new timing belt despite the fact it has already been done. MOT this week at an independent garage MOT failure due to the front tyres and broken front strut, car dangerous to drive. Went to Halfords to query how this could have happened met with a very obstructive man ? The manager very defensive said he’d have a look at the car in 5 days and questioned whether the cars MOT failure was correct, explained it was done by an independent examiner and showed him the result and that I was concerned their work had not been done correctly, he became very agitated and when I asked for the tyres to be replaced and I would get the car fixed elsewhere he said I’m not giving away two free tyres and when I asked how to make a formal complaint was asked to leave ! With his last comment being nice try! implying I’m lying. I’d give no stars if this was an option. Take your business elsewhere or pay the price.

Worst experience – never visiting again. I only went in to enquire about a puncture, but they told me to wait in reception. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes, they finally came back and said they were “too busy” and wouldn’t be able to fix it for the next two days. My tyre is already getting worse and I needed it sorted today. Extremely disappointing service.

Would give it 0 stars if I could! Took my car in for a service with them, broke my car during the service, and they took 5 days to finally complete it, and I've since had an ABS sensor playing up since, damaged by their technicians too. For the first day they had my vehicle, they never let me know that they'd damaged it and wouldn't release it to me. Only being told when I arrived to collect the vehicle. I had to complain via the Halfords website 3 times before I had any sort of acknowledgement of the issues I've been facing. This autocentre has cost me over £1000 for that service, including lost time and un-refundable bookings lost out on, that I actively stressed to them twice before the service I couldn't miss. I've since been talking to Daniel from the customer support team about this, who, as far as I can tell is actively ignoring the UK consumer rights laws, and is claiming that they "cannot be held liable" for breaking my vehicle while they had it. Cannot stress enough, go anywhere else! *Update after their response* I don't know how asking me to reach out to them via their website after I've already said: "I had to complain via the Halfords website 3 times before I had any sort of acknowledgement of the issues I've been facing" is really acceptable.

Took my car for 4 new tyres and major service + MOT. Everything was fine except for an air filter replacement. When I took my car back it had engine light on, showing increased emisions. I told them it will be incorrectly fitted air filter as it happened before. Given two stars not one because the lad actually had a look and said it's fitted correctly. Overall experience is not great when I just left £1000 and had to spend 2 more hours on Sunday afternoon after spending extra money on fuel and part refitting air filter. Don't go there. They don't know what they are talking about and I was lied too. I have raised a complaint with their Area Manager. My car was failed on an MOT and then I was told and I quote "that's not what it was failed on the reason it failed is not in the MOT guidelines" so in effect they made something up to fail it. This was what was said to me on a call that is recorded for training purposes. I think someone will be going back to training.

Staff were excellent. Fitted us in, although no appointment. Father in law was visiting from abroad and had a scrape underneath. Halfords Aintree Team offered to check out van on ramp, just to make sure it was OK. Friendly and efficient.

Took my car at the BOOKED appointment slot and got told there’s not enough time to do this bare in mind it’s only a wheel alignment which should take a qualified mechanic no more than a hour to do so I got told to bring it back the following day to only get told the same thing again which they cancelled the appointment now I have to drive a car all week with a wheel completely off alignment because I’m back in work and then it’s Christmas so I won’t be able to find a garage to fix this im furious about this and will NEVER use a Halfords auto Center again. Oh and when I looked into the workshop not one person was in there working so they can’t be that busy just seems like they can’t be As**ed take ur custom elsewhere.

Went in for service and MOT. Was quoted £300.00 .Ended up £995.+ Although they rang to say it would be more, I was so shocked at the price,I couldn't argue. I feel that they were taking advantage of a lone disabled female pensioner.
