Less than a shadow of its former self! This business has clearly changed hands - not sure when exactly but the quality of fayre is now very poor but charged at premium prices. Ordered a margherita pizza at £12.50 and a sausage roll at £3. Pizza was floppy - dough was premade, but most disturbing was that the cheese was rank. It was cheap cheddar and obviously smelled rank. I was brought up to never waste food, but even so I could only stomach a couple of slices before discarding. The sausage roll was only marginally better, although only lukewarm at best and poorer quality than what you'd find at Gregg's! This place used to have outstanding food feshly prepared on the premises. Now they only serve stuff heated up from the fridge or freezer (nothing necessarily wrong with that - your standard JD Wetherspoon heats up lots of pre prepared meals, but they at least do it to high standard). Additionally, asked for a cup hot water only for a staff member to attempt to give a cup of water from the (hand basin) hot tap! Coffee from their machine was mediocre - comparable to Wenzel's or Gregg's. The staff are well mannered and polite enough. However, I question food hygiene training overall. As it stands, I would avdise people to avoid this venue even if desperate.

Honestly the worst food I’ve ever eaten. No idea what was in the sausages. It certainly didn’t resemble meat. Even the bread was doughy and inedible. We gave the sausages to our dogs (good news is they are still alive). After one bite of a brownie (which we bought to take away the taste of the ‘sausage’), the artificial flavouring forced this into the bin immediately. On top of this, it’s not a dog friendly space. You can’t even take dogs inside to order and the staff told us they are scared of dogs. Next time we’ll bring sandwiches.

very expensive not a cheap eat if you have a family . I had a baguette with ham and cucumber it was £6. My friend also ordered same. When it came the baguettes were really small with hardly much filling . Small in length and width rip off. We had a melted cheese toastie, which was standard and kids chicken nuggets and chips . Small portion again around £7. Only saving grace with these were the chicken nuggets were actually nice Thick pieces of chicken and not that processed stuff. It quickly got very busy in there so lucky we went in before lunch rush . It did get noisy in there and just be mindful of the different types of groups and people you see in there . It was clean, we didn’t use the condiments. Walking around the area was nice and tidy . The water wasn’t clean looked quite green Later our kids did have a little paddle in it . The train again is a rip off too one way £3.80 for adults and £1.80 kids., or return £5.00 per adults and something like £3.50kids so once again if you spent and the cafe and then take your kids on the ride you’ll have expensive day out. I didn’t take pics of the food as not worth it disappointed.

Decent place to have food in the area. Nothing especially special about it but good place to chat (not too noisy) and pretty nice view. Options are limited and food can be a bit heavy on the gut as it’s quite fatty.

We loved the vegan burger and the fish and chips, with the fries tartare sauce and crispy batter. The soup of the day was also fresh with toasted bread and butter! We originally came for coffee but ended up having a meal as it looked so appealing! Much recommended and will come back soon! Even the paper under the fish and chips was a unique touch, I have attached a picture!

Inconsiderate and rude staff! If you go with any allergy concerns the reply you get is “Deal with the loss”! They do not know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. Better stay out of this place, if you want to be treated kindly after a refreshing day by the lake!

The only sandy beach in london. Really nice for a walk and chilling. You cannot swim but you can have a very nice view of a lake.

Overpriced for those small portions , we were seated at a sticky table and the ketchup bottle on the stand was empty ..took a staff member more than 10 mns to bring another one! Unfortunately Can't recommend
