Terminal 2 Costa seating area looked very shabby and requires a bit of care and attention. The picture speaks for itself. For an international airport we would expect a bit more standard at least for the sofas. The place is crowded and buzzing with visitors-so we definitely expect a little more care and attention from staff as well.
On January 18th, after I checked in around 6pm. I ordered a double espresso with the Indian barista. He put the espresso into the slot on the coffee machine & left it there for too long before pressing the extraction button while he went to get a cup. I pointed out that this was the incorrect way of making coffee, effecting the standard of the coffee (leaving the coffee in there for too long burns it leaving a bitter taste). Instead of listening to my concerns, he spoke to me as if i didnt know how coffee was made, he was aggressive. After arguing with him, he finally made the coffee again, I then requested hot water with the espresso, and he then had the audacity to say they typically charge for takeaway cups, even for a hot water cup! Ridiculous! I will be avoiding Costa in the future travels.
Rakshit gave great customer service and kept us informed of when our drinks would be ready. He was very professional and gave service with a smile. Great staff and would recommend!
Very slow and rude staff. I asked if they did filter coffee and was told curtly that they hadn't done it for years. I got something else, and a sandwich that needed to be heated up. The woman took out my sandwich along with someone else's and just shoved it on the desk. I had to ask if the other sandwich in her hand was mine and she just rudely said yours is here. I understand that this is simple work in a coffee shop and it's probably tedious dealing with puffed up customers like one of the people in front of me. But it's free to smile.
Grabbed a quick drink before a flight out. Not a long queue but service was a bit slow. Located right in the corner of terminal 2. Seating was all full. Nice atmosphere to the cafe.
The Costa outlet is at Terminal 2 at the far corner. Just right for breakfast before the flight or any other time. One of the best taste of coffee.

Warm and helpful staff and Manager William was very understanding, patience and cheerful in his work. My friend claimed his free birthday cake from the Costa in Premier Inn terminal 4 a few times yet the staff kept saying they couldn't do it due to different reasons. By the time we reached Heathrow Airport terminal 2, the free gift voucher already expired but the manager William tried his very best to give my friend 50% discount for the cake and help my friend to claim a free drink . It's really not so much about the free food and free drink but the birthday experiences and surprises from the birthday gift from Costa and their staff matter to us more. Thanks again Costa for all the delicious toasties and coffee. I will definitely visit Costa again when l come to UK.
