   The food is excellent. The teabag in my tea broke and they gave me another one for free. The bad: it closes at 4 but at 15:30 they were already tidying up. I needed the toilet but I was told that I couldn't use it, because they had already put bleach on it. I insisted, as I needed to go and I had a very long trip home. Now I'm worried my clothes would be damaged.

   Been to Cartons four times now and never been disappointed on any of the visits. The friendliest of ladies who work there, always attentive and affable. The food always arrives piping hot. It is plentiful and delicious. You get three options of which bread you’d like or how you’d like your eggs. Reasonable prices.

   Great simple home style food and warm welcoming atmosphere. The service is friendly, prompt and attentive. Everything very nicely cooked and prepared. Comfortable seating and a spotless toilet. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Its a place where old friends and close family go to meet, eat and talk. Cartons is a rare gem in this slick, overpriced eating out elsewhere around us. Bonus: no alcohol! Cartons promotes community and love that emanates from its owner Ben and pemeates to all who walk through Carton's door. Ben knows and speaks love to his food, staff and guests. We need to make sure we all tell Ben how much we value Ben and his contribution to our Stanmore community. Many of his most appreciative guests do not use social media so I am speaking up here on their behalf! Did you know that Ben will also cater for your afternoon tea events? Recently Ben provided a wonderful sandwich and cake spread for my fathers 96th birthday and my parents platinum wedding celebration tea, for 20 guests two days in a row. Highly enjoyed and now highly recommended. Ben we love you and need you. We know you are feeling tired and unwell right now. We all are wishing you the very best. Please everyone look after Ben and wish him well. He needs us right now.

   Definitely not Autism friendly! Even with 5 other customers in it I found it overwhelmingly loud. It wasn't the customers on the annoying pop music so much as the staff who talked and laughed very, very loudly. So loudly that I could not even type a review so I have to do speech to text and correct the errors. I vacated in anxiety in 5-minutes as I could not cope. I'm happy that staff talk and have a laugh but they really ought not be so loud. It really is so thoughtless. A cafe is for the customers not for staff to socialise loudly. The pecan pie was more treacle than pecan. The pecans were bits rather than pecan halves. I only went in because as I had 40 minutes to kill. Shan't be going back! Take ear plugs or listen to music on the headset if you go!
