Held my sons birthday party at funky monkeys as he loves coming here. Ava our host was fantastic. She explained everything from the get go and helped make it an enjoyable and smooth few hours. Thank you Ava and the rest of the team at Funky Monkeys for helping make my little ones birthday a memorable one!
Avoid this place if you don’t want to go home disappointed. I visited today with my two kids and with my friend and her child, and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences we’ve had. Let’s start with the toilets, they were extremely dirty, with such a bad smell that you didn’t even want to go in. The staff were also very rude, with miserable faces that made you feel uncomfortable even asking a question. We ordered drinks and French fries. While preparing our drinks, the staff kept chatting with each other until they forgot our order, and we had to remind them. The fries arrived 30 minutes late and without any sauce. When we asked for sauce, we got another rude look before she finally brought it over. The place is also hugely overpriced. There’s only a 70p difference between a 1-year-old and a 7-year-old, and it’s only for a 90-minute session, not even two hours! The baby section is terrible, hardly anything for babies to play with, not even balls. There are a few walkers, but the area is so small and full of kids that there’s nowhere to use them. I paid £8.25 just to sit there holding my baby with nothing to do. Overall, don’t waste your money here. Find a bigger, better place where at least the staff are friendly and your kids can actually have fun.
I booked a party for my 6 year old daughter at Funky Monkeys West Bromwich and I was so pleased with the service we received. From the staff who greeted us as we arrived to our own party host Ava, everyone was so lovely and welcoming. It was really well organised and Ava talked me through how everything would go and made my daughters party run smoothly and efficiently, she was also really kind and approachable. The food was good and there was lots of it and the ice cream went down well. I was able to decorate our party room and we had tables reserved in the main room for guests. The cake I provided was all taken care of and Ava was just so thoughtful. I can thoroughly recommend this venue for a really well organised and welcoming place that take care of all the details for you. Thank you all so much. My daughter loved her party!
Absolutely amazing place to visit! This has been the kids favourite place to come during the school holidays, staff are very friendly and the place is well managed! Very clean and tidy including the play area which is regularly maintained. Very good menu for kids and adults, caters to vegetarians too which is a bonus! It’s that amazing I have signed up for a membership. Great for kids between 2-8
Staff wasn't the friendliest and spent a lot of time chatting. They wipe the tables over when some one leaves but the chairs are so dirty, they look like they've never been cleaned. The food is very over priced.
Been coming here for 4 years now most weeks and it’s our favourite soft play. So clean, good food selection, nice area for adults to sit also. Staff are always friendly although they’ve obviously changed over the years they really know how to recruit good people because I’ve always been happy with the service. Reasonably priced for what you get, kids all ages have a great experience.
Booked over the phone for a birthday party for today for my 5 year old son. Booking process was simple, I felt like I was being annoying as I kept phoning up with questions before hand but the assistant manager was warm and friendly and wasn’t fazed by my annoyance. When arriving we were told that they were just finishing up a party that went over their time slot. This wasn’t a problem, the kids were occupied by the play area. Our party host (Caitlin) was very apologetic for not seeing to us sooner but like I said it wasn’t a problem and I didn’t complain. The children thoroughly enjoyed their time, loved the food and the disco. Although I think they were more excited by the superhero masks that were laid out on the table for them! Caitlin was amazing and kept checking in to make sure everything was ok, which it was. It’s good value for money, I’d have paid just as much if not more if I was doing it at home. Mason was also on hand to help out if needed. My son said he had an amazing birthday, and said he wanted to go back tomorrow! Thanks for making my sons day!
Nicely arranged and well managed by Kieran and Mira on May15th 2022 for my daughter’s birthday party with 17 kids following by birthday celebration, food and disco party. Kids love it and enjoyed a loads. Thanks again Kiren and Mira
