The café had a friendly atmosphere and, despite being mostly outdoor seating, was very clean. The coffee was reasonably priced and tasted great. The outdoor seating area is excellent, with large umbrellas over the tables providing plenty of shade and protection from the weather. It's conveniently located right next to the tennis courts.
The man who runs the cafe is lovely, friendly and remembers a face. Reasonably priced, menu items are well stocked and the service is fast considering it’s a small park cafe. Very disappointed with the 99 ice cream I got here. It was already melted, tasted like nothing but sugar, and had a strange yellow color. When I raised my concerns, the man serving was rude and completely dismissed what I said. Won’t be coming back.
Good to take a rest in the Victoria park(not bad to take a lunch). The staff lend you the key for the toilet next to the Cafe when you ask him.
Good coffee, friendly service, you can pay by card & if you bring your own cup they’ll gladly fill it up right to the top!
Decent coffee, selection of snacks (toasted sandwiches, soup, pastries etc - chips are delicious!), not cheap but this is a cafe in a park in London afterall. Open til late especially for a park cafe. Friendly staff. Popular with dog walkers. We have been a few times whilst on a walk with our baby, the bench parasols meant we didn't have to worry about her being in the sun (despite it being October!). In summer this cafe must be extremely busy with families.
Definitely improved since the last time I had a coffee here. They serve food here now and were very busy today.
I hope this is the right cafe, it's not the one by the lake, but the other one next to the skate park. Just want to say we had the most DELICIOUS vegan cakes!! A chocolate one with some kind of fruit jam in it and then a peanut butter one. They were just incredible, and my sister and I are quite the cake connaisseurs.
