Having an absolutely disasterous time with Halfords in Vicars Cross with the MOT, this place totally took care of my mums car and I'm super thankful for them. I have been here in the past (2018) to diagnose a misfire on my 1993 Corsa and they diagnosed within the hour. Again, great garage.
No problems in recommending here, its first time using this garage since moving to Chester. The Volvo was off the road for 2 years nearly and they booked me in next day for a MOT and advised on the advisories. No pressure or sales for the advisories to be done. Ill be booking my other one in with the lads no worries. Update 17-03-2025 - I took my Mercedes there today as it had problems and I had no hesitation taking it to the lads for the work and they didn't disappoint, thanks Wayne and the guys for yet again for the professional approach and help :) Tom
Took my friend's older Jag in for its first service in ages. Easy to book in online, and good honest, fast work. They called to explain a couple of items to get an ok before proceeding, and then giving a final price. Cheers.
Wayne, John, Lee and their team are brilliant mechanics and easy friendly people to deal with. They have serviced my cars over the last 10+ years, ive found them to be always honest and fair, they have never charged or undertake work that's not been needed. I trust them completely, I would recommend them to anyone wanting to care, service or MOT their car.
I've used this garage for about 12 years for MOTs and repairs...absolutely recommend them they do what's necessary but don't rip you off
Great service start to finish, my car needed new suspension arm, despite my mot being later on in the day they sourced the replacement part and got it fitted for me to collect my car at the end of the day. Explained and showed me the issue with the failed part. Highly recommended
Not good. Booked MOT through their website and took day off work to take car there. Got a call 15 minutes before appointment time to say that they were over booked and couldn't do my MOT. They suggested I called another garage "in their group" as there was an early MOT appointment available there. I called the other garage who couldn't understand why I was told to call them and sounded a bit confused about another garage apparently knowing their appointment slots! They didn't have any slots available and suggested I called their tyre bay next door!. I didn't get an answer from the tyre bay, so ended up having to reluctantly use National Tyres the next day, which is whole different disaster story in itself. Waste of my time and day - lesson learned. Update: Thank you for the apology John, I have changed my rating accordingly. I didn't get any MOT from your group as described above, with the edit.
We took our car here to get some work done and an MOT. A few days later we noticed that they hadn't done the MOT so we had to rebook and get that done separately. Noticed that the wheel lock nut was in the cup holder rather than the glovebox. When I tried to open the glovebox I noticed it was broken. Garage denied it was them. Very unpleasant experience having my car damaged by them and taking no responsibility. UPDATE: In response to your reply. The vehicle was LJ03 YWH. All of my reviews are honest and truthful so I’d ask you to review the tone of your reply. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but… denying the damage is one thing, but trying to call me a lier is comical. Respect goes a long way.
We have only recently started using this garage as its more convenient to where we live. We had an MOT back in July which was so impressively quick, and then yesterday i dropped my car into the garage last minute as there was a problem with the wheel bearing amongst other things, even though the garage was extremely busy wayne and his team still fitted me in and i collected the car the next day, very happy with this garage and how professional they were, communication was great too. Cant fault this garage, we will be using for both of our cars in the future. 5 star service all round - Thankyou Wayne & Team
