   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Listen to the reviews, many people in the same position with this incompetent company having no sense of urgency, advising to call back in 5 minutes and never taking the calls, not returning calls or replying to emails. My exchange had been held up for over a week due to zero communication from this hellish company.

   Gary Boyd was my solicitor. He was very knowledgeable throughout the process. I felt that he put in the maximum effort. In the beginning he explained the timescale and the formalities to which everything seemed to happen satisfactorily.

   We used Gorvins back in 2022 for a remortgage on a place we already owned. In general, the process wasn't terrible until the very end where, on the day of completion my solicitor didn't return my calls or confirm that completion had gone through as she had gone home at around 2pm without leaving a handover. I regret not posting about it at the time as I have recently had a work colleague share that his house move is in limbo because Gorvins have deinstructed themselves at the last minute and I was shocked to hear it was the same company. Avoid at all costs and invest in a more professional service for such an important matter.

   I wish I had read the reviews before appointing this practice for the purchase of my house. The Paralegal, Amara Charles, working with my purchase is rude, unresponsive and has zero sense of urgency and no client care skills - you'd have thought she was paying me to do the conveyancing. Once I complained, the account manager stepped in at the last minute, but the whole experience has left a very, very bad taste. I would not recommend using this practice for conveyancing.

I approached them quite late in the process for a motoring matter - they made sure to keep me updated as often as they possibly could and put my mind at ease.    We have had 3 properties fall through, but we have finally completed on a sale this week! We have stuck with gorvins, depsite not having a great start with the service during the process with the first property, however, things picked up when Misba Zeb assisted us with the next 2 that fell through. So we stuck with Gorvins on the last property that Jameel Karim helped us to complete on. He was very thorough in his explanations of the process and took the time to explain the timescales and was realistic with us about this. Him taking just that extra minute to explain things and reassure us went a very long way. If he was unavailable then the advisor on the phone (I believe she is called Beth?) was also very helpful with giving us updates on the file and to pass on messages to Jameel. Thank you again Jameel, for your patience and understanding of our situation and for helping us to finally complete! Many thanks, Harmony & Andy

   Absolutely terrible experience! Wouldn't even rate 1 star! They dragged our flat sale on for over 6 months. My husband was on the phone to them for almost 6 hours a day trying to find out what the various issues were in holding up the flat sale. Despite his full time day job. Thankfully we went through Strike so we were in direct contact with our Buyer which helped ensure the sale actually went through. Shocking customer service. Our first solicitor at Gorvins failed to contact the correct managing agent which slowed down the sale by 3 months and the second solicitor wrote "to follow" on many of the enquries and didn't tell us, so both us and the buyer were left in limbo, neither one knowing who was waiting for who for weeks. As our solicitor told us we were waiting for the buyers solicitors response to the enquiries we had answered. In the end, my husband had to contact various companies to find out the information which our buyers solicitor had requested for the enquries, which our solicitor at Gorvins was incapable of doing. They never returned phone calls and rarely resonded to emails. I never leave negative reviews but I really can't put into words how incredibly stressful this process was made using Gorvins as our solicitor and I don't want anyone to go through what we went through!

   Anybody who reads this review, please do not choose Gorvins Solicitors. The upfront quote might be very competitive compared with other solicitors. But actually, I came across some hidden charges by pretending to forget to tell me in advance. And all case takers deal with a lot of transactions. So yours might not proceed as they initially promise in the original time frame. Chris Ntetsikas (Greek solicitor) was in charge of my purchase. He was very slow with responding or didnt respond my calls or inquiries while he was supposed to do his job. I complained to his manager Elena Maiden. But I couldn't see any progress or improvement at all. In the end, I found Chris Ntetsikas was ignoring my calls completely and his colleagues also told me ingenuine reasons that he was in the meeting or left the office already. When I rang him from another phone number, he was actually in the office even after his colleagues told me that he left the office. He then told me '' I can not deal with your case now as I have 9 other cases!!! '' Well.... I paid for their service and it is not nice to know that my case wasn't dealt with. I found Chris Ntetsikas's attitude very unprofessional and disappointing. And more unfortunately, his manager Elena Maiden didnt even consider my complaints and closed the case as she thought I was abusing him. It was unfortunately very disgraceful. There are several written correspondences to back up my arguments. But she didn't even consider my complaints at all. Gorvins Solicitors are the worst solicitor farm as far as I have used so far. So if you would like to proceed with the purchase of residential places in a timely manner, please DO NOT choose them!
