   We visited around 10:30am on a Saturday morning. Quite busy as it was a late summer morning. Busy with mainly families with children. Order med and paid for 2 breakfasts quite quickly. There was a free booth - so that was great. My partner ordered the Turkish breakfast, I decided on a chicken salad. Turkish breakfast came - looked great, a little sparse IMO, but I was assured it tasted great. Upon seeing my chicken salad, I was very disappointed- not my idea of a chicken salad. A few salad items had been placed on a plate, with a chicken quarter plonked on top. The chicken was not only cold - it was rock hard/dry, as if was a leftover from the previous nights dinner session. I must say, what I found even more disappointing, was the fact the same waitress who delivered the food passed our table several times and looked at the untouched plate- but never ONCE asked if anything was wrong. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I vowed to never return, as they don’t seem to care if customers are happy or not.

   Average food, average English fry up. I wouldn’t say it’s any different to the other English fry ups in London. Packed full of chips and beans. That said, the atmosphere was good. A quiet London cafe with good coffee.

   Thanks guys! First time visit today, really friendly staff. Quick and helpful service and lots to choose from. Wraps, breakfasts, jacket potatoes, coffees, Halal options you name it. Fresh food, absolutely will be coming back. Solid A***** LDT x

   Lovely cafe in Herne Hill with friendly staff. Hash browns , sausages and mushrooms were nice and the portion size of the breakfasts are great. The eggs weren’t the best but everything else was fine , will definitely still come back.

   First time in visiting Steve's Cafe but it won't be my last. I had the special which was Chicken Kebab with rice, salad and pitta bread. The chicken was cooked well, not dry at all and had a good flavour to it. The portions were spot on and the pricing is very reasonable. Very friendly staff also.
