   Very odd place run by an odd old man who clearly has zero hospitality experience … he only took our orders after we asked him - coffee was dreadful - scrambled eggs were microwaved and he did everything one by one hence it takes 30 minutes to get breakfast served from order even though we were the only ones in the whole place! It’s something out of faulty towers

   It took 35 minutes for our drinks to come after ordering (1 tea, 1 coffee and a coke) the tea was mostly milk, the coffee was cold... the coke was fine. After 45 minutes 1 of the meals arrived (a baked potato, which was dry). The others didn’t arrive until over an hour after we’d ordered (two sandwiches). The table next to us one of the people had finished their food 30 minutes before the person they were with got theirs (also a sandwich). Honestly don’t know how they’re surviving in such a great location. Such a waste of what could be a great cafe spot. It wasn’t even very busy for a Sunday - I can now see why! They gave us free pastries to apologise for the wait but it’s not really on! They also didn’t give them to their her customers around us who didn’t complain.

   The coffee is acceptable. However, during Covid and the new regulations where the waitresses must wear a face mask, I noticed that none of the staff had one or were doing table serving. The staff is fine but not the most friendly one...

   Great tasting food and nice location opposite the common. Good menu selection with lots of breakfast and lunchtime options. Excellent value for money and friendly service.

   I love the coffee and the food of course, over all ambience is very nice especially the staff. Wide variety of sandwiches make you think which one to get. Cafe facing towards the common is just so beautiful.
