   I love Michael's Cafe. I went most Saturdays for several years for a late breakfast with friends. Sylvie is a national treasure and runs a great café. It's a greasy spoon, so do not expect anything else, but whatever they do, they do well. My Saturdays don't take me to Thornton Heath anymore, but if I'm ever passing again in the future I'll definitely pop in.

   I gave one star and if I could give the owner of this cafe 0 stars I would. I am the landlady from the pub across the road and we organised a fundraiser for the children In hospitals at Christmas where we bought presents and vouchers and we donated to paediatric department in St Heliers. We raised vouchers from local businesses and most of them were delighted they can contribute however the owner of this cafe couldn’t be bothered to donate anything because he said that he is not getting anything out of it. Well to my surprise we managed to raise over £700 without his help and with the help from Selhurst Station Cafe, Selhurst Timber, Voujon and other businesses and individuals that helped us! I am not rating the food service however I am rating the owners greed! A bit of consideration and kindness goes a long way in my opinion!

   I love this place for a traditional English breakfast. They have all the usuals you'd expect in a greasy spoon and most importantly they brew the tea properly :)

   Very busy on a Saturday morning. You could tell many customers were regulars. Had to wait for a table but food came quickly. Lots of people ordering food to takeaway. It was a match day so that probably made it extra busy. Friendly service. Nice size breakfast. Good value for money.

   Have been coming to Michael's cafe for years. Hadn't been for 3 years due to Covid and they recognised me straight away. Good food, fair prices and close to the Brit School, handy for hanging around whilst the kids go to Brit Kids on Saturdays
