   I visited 'Art Café' on a Saturday morning with a couple of friends. We initially sat in the slightly gloomy basement before they moved us up to the ground floor which was nicely decorated and had a pleasant ambience. My friends both had a full English breakfast, while I had the 'Turkish eggs' and a 'club sandwich. The Turkish eggs were nice and reasonably priced, although perhaps a little bland and under-seasoned. It was served with what seemed like freshly made flatbread which was tasty. My friends had good things to say about the full English, and while it certainly was not cheap at £15, the price simply reflects the rampant inflation of the past few years. Unfortunately, things took a major turn for the worse with the club sandwich (which was essentially a two-layered bacon, egg and salad sandwich). The bread was soggy and the bacon was very underdone; 1 think it is likely that this was prepared in advance (perhaps even a few days prior) and them microwaved. Worst of all, as seen in the photo, the salad had clearly gone off as most of it was mouldy and turning brown. Judging by the other reviews this doesn't seem to happen often so I can only assume this was a one-off lapse in quality control. Regardless, it did ruin what was otherwise an enjoyable meal. As a result, I think three stars is a fair representation of the overall experience. It pains me to give an independent café a poor score, but unfortunately this reflects the disappointment that came with the soggy sandwich. I probably wouldn't return as the mouldy salad was very off-putting.

   Very tasty breakfast options. We had a traditional full English and a Turkish breakfast. Both were very good. Good quality ingredients. Service was quick and friendly and food arrived to the table in just a few minutes.

   Amazing breakfast, they have a rich menu with so many options and the vegan breakfast was so good as well alongside with the regular one and egg benedict. The coffee is good, staff is nice. The portion is huge and they also have a nice turkish tea.

   Amazing place with amazing food. I had the Turkish Breakfast alongside the vegetarian pasta bake. The staff were really nice. I was served by Connor, I think that was his name as well as Ayna. The hot chocolate was delicious and I liked the creamy top, it was very chocolately. Highly recommend this place if you’re ever by Elephant & Castle.

   Always top quality food, lovely staff and warm welcoming atmosphere. I go here regularly, but my lunch today was top notch - poached eggs perfect, hash browns crunchy yet soft, avocado toast so good and grilled fresh tomatoes a perfect combo.

   The humble BLT sandwich was amazing - bacon was perfect, fresh lettuce, generous mayo, soft bread. 10/10 couldn't imagine a better BLT, was not expecting it to be so good. Nice artsy cafe, lady next to me was drawing and a fun mix of locals. Service was v good and quick even though it was pretty busy. Will be back!
